two questions:
when will the VR570 package be available for the E63's?
if i purchase the VR530 package now, will that money be credited towards the VR570 pricetag?

If you have purchased VR530, than you will get credit for it, when you go to VR570.

Vadim,
You said the tranny can handle about 600 lb/ft of torque, but is this only for the 7G tronic? What about those of us with the MCT? Can the MCT handle that much torque coming through to the 7G portion of the tranny?

First prototypes are done. Once they get welded up, we will start dyno tuning. Thank you for everyone's patience.

However, there was good reason for the reduction in torque. This allowed Mercedes to fit its new, sophisticated seven-speed automatic in place of the old five-speed. Though the new gearbox is far more efficient than the five-speed, and though it was not built to handle the massive torque of the supercharged engine, its limit of 542 lb-ft, say Mercedes engineers, gives it the required durability to handle the 6.2's far-from-paltry crank twist.

Any reason you didn't go with the log type like the 55 with this one?
1. On M156 there is another 1/4'' of extra spacing between the flanges that allowed us to build 4-1 headers. On M113, there is no room to make a turn on the last cylinder. This is why Renntech merges two cylinders together.
2. On 55 Kompressors, log style gives more top end vs. 4-1 which will give more midrange.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
victor,
Your VRP570 package already includes replacement filters from the VRP530. However, if we were to include your upcoming Carbon Airbox into the equation, how much more would you expect at the crank?
Is it fair to assume this would yield a VRP580-585 package?

i asked vadim this same question. he said that it's possible, but obviously, no actual dynos have been done. my guess is that you'd be in the 575-580 range.

VRP on vacation?
More like hospital.
I am OK now.
Back to VR570. Headers are going in production and software is almost done.
I will have updates later this week.
