yeah that is why its really silly to replace AMG rims or mercedes RIMS with most of the aftermarket CRAP that is out there,, most of the BIG GHETTO rims that look good would not hold up for **** in a street race much less that track and could result in a totaled car or worse.. I have seen videos and read what AMG and mercedes do for engineering and testing and manufacturing of their wheel and its ALOT more than most of these fly by night yahoos..
there are some exceptions like HRE and OC who have racing records,, but
just like lowering the suspension so that the tire is less than 25-28 mm from the fender, its a bad idea and may look good cruising at 45 mph but at 145
or in a race or heavy cornering,, its gonna screw up your car and maybe you
finally people are waking up to this.. after there are tons of pics of broken rims on the net.. lol
beware..

Can't say I agree with you there. Mercedes, like any other car manufacturer, has to cut costs so most of their wheels are cheap cast wheels. Obviously Mercedes does not make their wheels in-house, they outsource wheel production to other companies which must meet stringent cost targets. I bent 3 out of 4 wheels on my ML350 in Moscow (which I must admit, has worse potholes than New York). There are numerous documented cases of factory Mercedes wheels braking after hitting potholes on every Mercedes forum out there...

Any real forged aluminum wheel will be much stronger, not to mention lighter, than Mercedes OEM cast wheel. Trust me, there is nothing special about Mercedes wheels, they probably outsource their wheel manufacturing to same companies as Audi and BMW...

ALL I DID WAS POST A PICTURE OF THE WHEELS I PURCHASED AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT CAME OUT TO BE A BATTLE ON HERE, AGAIN THESE WHEELS WERE MY CHOICE AND HAVE ALOT MORE CARS IN THE GARAGE WAITING FOR WHEELS. ALSO, BEFORE I PURCHASED THESE WHEELS I WAS AT A SHOP DOWN THE STREET FROM MY HOUSE AND I WAS LOOKING FOR WHEELS AND EVERYONE TOLD ME WITH THE CAR YOU HAVE GO WITH HRE, BUT IN THE BACK OF THE SHOP, I SPOKE WITH THE CUSTOMER AND HE HAD HRE AND HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS AND THE WHEEL WAS BENT. AGAIN I WENT WITH SEVASFORGED AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE.
My post wasn't about the quality of the Sevas Forged wheels. I think they're fine. I know they had problems with their cast wheels but the new 3pc forged line are a different animal altogether. My issue was the delay in receiving them. After 14 weeks, I still didn't have my wheels.
I'll repeat that. AFTER 14 WEEKS, I STILL DIDN'T HAVE MY WHEELS. And there were others that purchased them in the same group buy as me and they also never received theirs. I hope you don't have the same experience I did. I canceled my order and purchased a set of VIP Modular VR-05's. They'll be on my doorstep in 3-4 weeks.

Nice of you to share that you have a 6 car garage. I don't understand what it has to do with the sevas forged wheels you wanted to receive opinions on. You wanted opinions on the wheels, so you were given opinions. Just remember that the only opinion that counts is yours. You shouldn't be so overly sensitive and aggressive to other members on the board that were only responding to your request to express our opinions? Anyways, congrats on the new wheels and most importantly, your blessing of having 6 CARS in your garage!

Yep, this dolt is a complete fraud. I can only hope that Sevas knew nothing about what this guy was doing.
On a side note, Sevas refunded my payment to me within 48 hours of canceling my order. And considering they were custom made wheels, that's pretty good of them.

In reality...You paid, but the product never showed up. A refund was the only option after you had waited that ridiculous amount of time for your wheels.

The problems they had were wit the 1 pc wheels that were made in China
I don't know where they are getting these new 3 pc wheels made at but their reputation has been tarnished with horrible customer service and bad quality 1 pc wheels. I was lucky that nothing happened to me with the set of 1 pc S-55's I had.

Actually turns out none of the pix are of anything he owns. There was a thread about it, but he deleted it, and were in the works of restoring it.. It was about " picks of my garage", or some thing like that..
