Should I get one??

Guys,

This should be a quick and easy answer considering the audience but here goes anyway. I'm currently driving a 2005 Audi S4 and I'm looking at maybe moving into a 2003 E55. My Audi has been an absolute joy since the day I bought it and I have never received so many compliments from complete strangers since I've owned it. However, mods are very limited for the V-8 and although the car is very fast, I want something that absolutely hauls *** while still hauling *** (4 doors and 5 people). I know all of the obvious differences between the 2 cars, but just wanted to see if you guys can talk me into pulling the trigger on this in terms of your overall experiences. Also, is 2003 a good year for the E55 since it was the first year with the 5.5L SC motor? Any problems to watch for? What about 2004? Also, besides pulley kits, ECU flash, what other mods can be done to this car - suspension, exhaust etc?

TIA

2003 E55
I also went from a 2005 S4 to a 2003 E55 almost 2 years ago. I thought the S4 was great but nothing compared to the E55. Since owning my 2003 E55 I havn't had any issues in the 9000 miles I put on it.

Thanks Weber. Glad to hear that you really enjoy it. Did you have any mods on your S4? My car has exhaust, full suspension, wheels etc. Besides being much faster, what else do you like about the E55? I am really going back and forth on this only because I really do enjoy the S4 and as you know, it's really a lot of fun to drive. Anyway, thanks for the reply.

2003 E55
No mods on my S4 and none yet on my E55. The E55 is just a lot more powerful and the added room in the back seat is great. I'm 6'3 which ment the seat behind the driver in the S4 was pretty useless. The E55 was like nothing I had driven before and looks wise you either like the looks of the E55 or you don't. I may decide to mod the E55 but that all depends on how much longer I decide to keep it.

True and I've been looking at some 2004's for that reason. However, I did an after market (Pioneer AVIC D3) in the Audi and it's really fantastic so if I picked up a 2003, I may consider another one of those as well (if it fits - I haven't checked on a kit for it yet).
