You know, something really burns me about this...
The thing that is the most immensely irritating to me in this thread (and it's companion thread here: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/248316-wheels-i-just-ordered.html ) has been watching an employee of Sevas Wheels come on here and start bashing Sevas' competitors (especially HRE) when, to my knowledge, Sevas is the only "high-performance" (had to put that one in quotes ) aftermarket rim manufacturer whose products are actively being investigated by the National Highway Transportation Safety Board...
Check out action EA-0803 on the second page of the NTSB's list of active investigations here:
http://nhthqnwws112.odi.nhtsa.dot.go...12008-1234.pdf
And here's another one that's still active from 2007:
http://nhthqnwws111.odi.nhtsa.dot.go...92007-1234.pdf
And here's some more interesting reading:
(Lemme preface this by first saying: )
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1913653
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=272434
http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182326
So my advice to Sevas would be: Quit sending your minions over here to do surreptitious marketing and tell us how terrible your competitors' products are, and spend your time worrying about how to make a wheel that won't randomly explode on the highway.

The carnage continues.
Quick!!! Someone screenshot this entire thread so the next time Sevas tries to take it down we can just paste it in a new thread.

Well, at 1:18pm PDT, Servas Wheels is looking at this thread again. Must be crapping his pants right now, wondering how he is going to stay in business.

So Karl,
What's the deal, man? You seemed like a completely straight up dude when I was dealing with you about my wheels.

No offense to anyone, but some of you all need to be a little more cynical for your own good

Thanks guys, the request was simple and plain:
I said we all need to have some levity in here plus the ability to protect each other. I told them we understand that posting personal info can lead to liability issues but other than that, can we just have fun!!!

Here's a television news story from CBS about Sevas Wheels...
Click the link below, and then click on the little picture of the rim on the top left in the player window. The player always wants to default to the "Breaking News" story, which is currently gay marriages taking place in Cali, so you have to click on the the little pic of the rim to make it play.

Sooooooooooooooo....
Just a quick question for everyone...and Karl from Sevas is welcome to respond too...
When's the last time you saw a television news report about an HRE blowing up on the highway?
Ya. Didn't think so.

Guys, good work!! But I think the forum has just put Sevas wheels out of business, just like a recent tuning company who had 'PROBLEMS' with a customers car. How embarassing for Sevas wheels.

Poke around on any other car forum and ask about Sevas. Or, look at the television story they did on Sevas rims blowing up on the highway.

Man, you should pat yourself on the back for being so lucky by just getting your money back and moving on. You dodged a bullet by not ending up with those rims on your car.
Poke around on any other car forum and ask about Sevas. Or, look at the television story they did on Sevas rims blowing up on the highway.

Super happy I got refunded. Although, to be fair, the exploding wheels were their 1pc cast ones. The wheels I purchased were their new 3pc SevasForged line. Which are supposedly made with T6061 barrels, same as HRE. Not defending them, just putting that out there.
The fact that they haven't responded to this thread when we know they're watching, speaks volumes to me.
Not that anyone cares, but I replaced them with some sick VIP Modulars

Some more customers who are absolutely thrilled with their Sevas Rims...
http://clublexus.com/forums/showthre...cracked+rim%2A
http://www.300cforums.com/forums/whe...11-wheels.html
The really interesting thing to note about that second one is:
#1: The owner of Sevas (who I assume to be Karl) enters the thread to bash the naysayers
#2: He then winds up having to admit that his rims have around a 10% failure rate.
This is shocking only because he considers that to be *low*. Well, it's not. You have to have 4 rims on a vehicle, or 5 if you buy a matching spare, so a simple calculation of the resulting odds tells you that amounts to almost a 50% chance of failure for a complete set on a vehicle.
Yet, they come here and bash other manufacturers...
