E63 Wheels on Ebay - Legit or Scam?
Teolax sent me this link and was wondering if this is the same guy that scammed us. Some things fit the profile like his previous sales including Apple products.
In one of the pics it shows the users name on a paper with the wheels. Any of you photoshop experts able to tell if it is legit or added to the pic?
Here is the link:

look at the buyer/seller feedback rating
also contact them and as for fresh photos or High Res Photos and see what then send... dont let people full you either by saying i dont have a digital camera or my scanner isn't working... 99% of the time thats not the case... but if they send you some good pics after the request shoot for it if not... you can always go with OE replica's

I doubt it's the same crew. No idea if this seller is legit, but doubt it's the same guys as before.
All feedback has been positive; all the people who have left him feedback have pretty good feedback too. It doesn't look like an "operation", he's been on ebay since '02 and has only bought/sold 14 things total, all with positive feedback.
I'm not going to say he's the perfect seller, as there isn't much of a track record on expensive things, but I really doubt it's the same guys as before. Unless they hatched this plan in (or prior to) '02, and have been keeping this account "clean".
Also, seller uses Fedex, not DHL, not that the scammers couldn't switch shippers.

What the heck is going on with those scammers? The last post or update on that thread was May 30th, nearly 4 weeks ago. Did the case just fizzle out? Any arrestes made?

probably legit I have bought expensive AMG wheels on ebay before, and for less, so someitmes you get lucky, however
ask for a contact TELEPHONE number before you paypal the money,
and make it a condition of the sale and verify that the guy at the other end is the seller, and ask for a land line ph NOT CELL phone that way it can be traced..
in the end, if you talk to the guy on the phone and he seems legit you have to go with your gut.. I did and got lucky,, and was happy with mine,
so good luck, and enjoy

I think he's legit also... the most I could tell is that he doesn't live in MA (where I think the scammer in question lives) and he's PayPal Verified.
If I were you, I'd take the chances if the price is good.

I wouldn't do it. Very little ebay history, and the last sale was Apple (sound familiar) software. It is too easy to hijack ebay accounts and scam. If you can't put your eyes on the wheels or you hands on the seller it could lead to disappointment. Additionally, "They came off from my E63, I recently purchased a set of HRE wheels so this has to go." sounds a bit suspicious as well. Looks a bit like "scammer grammer." May not be the same guys, but why take the chance?

The seller has what, four feedback? No activity in the last 6 years save one dubious transaction?
C'mon, now.
