I have heard various c63 and love the exhaust tone more than my e63. I have already removed the resonators but I would like more rasp out of the exhaust.

I know a couple of people have doen x pipes on 55's but does anybody have sound clips on a 63,

I have done the resonator removal and went with straight pipes. I like the sound of old school muscle and thats what it gives. I have heard that the X pipe will give a little more balanced Ferrari sound (I dont like ferraris so i dont want my car to sound like one). if thats not enough for you can consider having the 2nd Cats removed. Or look for some headers.
Remember we are in family style sedans. Dont go overboard into the excessive sound catagory.
I personally was happy with just the delete at the moment. Adds exactly what I thought the car was missing as far as sound goes.

My 2 cents...

Do you have any vids or sound files of your car? Would love to hear it.

Exhaust sound tuning is a pretty "mystical" process. It has a lot to do with the design of the mufflers, the way the pipes are bent, the resonators, the cats, and how they all interact synergistically.

The raw sound from the engine can be dampened through a number of methods, but mostly through muffler and vibration tuning.

Can anybody tell me though, is it possible to make the 63 sound like a AM V8 Vantage? How does it sound so nice in a first place?

That is most likely not gonna happen. You can't change an exhaust to make a car sound like another specific car, and you certainly would have a difficult time making an AMG V8 sound like an Aston V8.

Although the C63 exhaust sounds great, it is much over-exadurated. I actually prefer the sound of the CLK63 Black Series over the C63. The Black Series sounds even more incredible going down the track. So if you're ever going to attempt a conversion, check out the Black Series Exhaust first.
