K&N Filters Online?

Does anybody know a website I can order K&N Filters from other then store.knfilters.com? I tried getting it from there, but they don't ship them to Canada.

Thanks!

Just as an FYI, there are 4 different filters available under 2 different part numbers....some fit well, some not so well.

YMMV.

Not all oiled filters leak. Ppl have been using K&N filters for years on GM engines with MAF sensors and many a brave engine have survived.

I just bought two of the K&N xxxx71 filters off of amazon.com. Came to $88 with uber-cheap shipping.

Had K&N on every Vette I owned, never an issue. Even with the MAF screens remove. Most MAF sensors have a burn off relay that heats the wire to rid it of contaminants.

Good luck with that. Ppl have been replacing MAF's contaminated by K&N oil for years too. Hey, here's a thought......pay a premium to get a modded MB from AMG and then wonder why with ALL the ohter enhancements AMG made that the silly sh*ts didnt put a slick K & N air filter on it so you could MAYBE gain 1 point nothing HP at the crank. Here comes the special part......then it dawns on you, you ARE smarter than MB's and AMG's engineers and figure it MUST be a good idea cause some guy used one on his chevy econo box and liked it.

Is there even ONE major auto manufacturer who uses K&N as OEM???

I wouldn't call a Z06 or a Z28 an econo-box but maybe some folks here might... Either way, I won't start "that" argument. I can speak from experience in that I have not had any MAF sensor on either my LT1, nor my LS1 or LS6 contaminated by a K&N filter. There is no absolute right or wrong when it comes to these discussions.. I wouldn't doubt one bit that somewhere a MAF sensor has been ruined by an overly oiled filter, whether it was being cleaned and oiled again, or a new filter being over oiled; one should use common sense and good judgment when putting any aftermarket part on his/her own vehicle.

Now, there's no need to get in a tissy over my filter choice. By your logic, anyone who puts any tire on the car other than the stock Conti's must be really sticking it to the man and showing his/her superiority over AMG engineers. You can continue to use your stock filter element, and continue to look down upon us silly K&N users.. I'll keep my K&N filters and enjoy my car just the same

There isn't, because of the silly ***** who over-oil them.

If you can read directions, they are awesome filters. No problems since 1989 in any of my vehicles.

Those of us who are illiterate should stick to OEM paper.

Fair enough. No tissy here. YOU have made an informed decision. Other silly ***** who read this in the future need to be aware that many have not had your good fortune in the past.

Not a major one, but there is a reason for that. The simple fact is that even K&N would have a hard time marketing their filters as a single use product because of the price.

There is always a trade off. If you want to add some horse power at the cost of good filtering go ahead and use K&Ns. If you want to wash and dry and oil your filters get the K&Ns. If you believe the K&N hype then buy them.

The fastest way to wear out a supercharger is to introduce foreign objects. It is a good idea to get a filter that has the best air cleaning possible, and K&N is not on that list.

Btw I have 8, 14 inch K&N cones for sale $600 takes them all.

Ironically, if you get your filters from the dealer, the price delta is very small.

Exactly and that is why i switch out to new ones depending on my driving.

Hoenstly, i don't care about my SC. I hope to replace it with a more efficient and aggressive one later. The jerkyness is just stupid and someday MB will quit replacing them under warranty even though they begin to change colors from the stress.
