I would call VRP. If they can't help, then remove the offending bearing and take it to a bearing supplier. They should be able to pull the number and fix you up.

FWIW, I just had the same issue with my stock idler pulley and it is being replaced at the dealer.

It's the bearing in the pulley that is located just below the S/C clutch (or as noted in the installation instructions, Photo D, Item 5).

Victor asked me to remove and clean the pulley & bearing, that had no effect. He asked me in conjuction to his efforts, to contact Finny but I can't get in touch with him.

If it is not too much trouble, can you look at the bearing and see part number is or take a picture?

I will get you a replacement.

I am pretty sure this is the one you need DSC.

This is a pic from the pulley from my kit. This is the one that goes under the supercharger pulley.

Jackpro1, that sure looks like the pulley. Thanks.

Vadim, I appreciate the help. The kit is still on the car but I will probably take it off this weekend. I'll let you know when I do and post a pic of the bearing like Jackpro1 did.

Thanks guys!

Dan,

My sincere apologies for all the troubles. All of the spare parts are sitting in Australia with Finny so I dont have any spare pullies that I can send you.

I am in talks with a pulley manufacturer to make more copies of those aluminum pullies and I am trying to find a source for some replacement bearings to keep on hand in case anyone needs them.

I will get in touch once I have some solid info for you.

I've got a squeel at low speeds. I thought it was the sc clutch, So I had or replaced. Still have it though, so now I think maybe one of the idler pullies. I'm just worried the dealer won't fix it because of the renntech pulley.

Vadim, do you have a bearing now or should I wait to remove the kit?

Thanks everyone for the input.

Russ, did you replace the 2 stock bearings or the whole stock pulleys? After which, did the noise completely go away?

The clutch doesn't squeel. I'm wanting to replace me OEM pulleys with some undersdrive ones, so maybe thats a way to cure and upgrade??

I didnt replace anything cause people from Kleemann DK sent me wrong pulleys and then I sold the car...but those bottom pulley cost here something like 280 EURO...

Another thing is that...my noise was only when the car was cold and afterthe car warmed up the noise disappreared so it could be a belt as well...Also when the kit was installed 1st... I didnt have any noise...so its really confusing what causes this noise at the end...I guess you have to inspect all the pulley and replace the ones with bad bearings on wrap kit and whole pulley if its stock...

well, it started as a squeek, but it's now progressed to more of a longer squeek/squeel. But its all good, I got my clutch upgraded anyway

my experience

doesn't have to do with VRP's belt wrap kit but it does have to do with pulleys and belts.

I've had the idler pulley replaced and that type of squealing doesn't go away with heat.

I've had squealing that came from a belt being too tight ... this one does go away after the car has been warmed up.

Point is there are many possibilities for squeal.

What's the size difference? Its ok to run a smaller belt for a bit, but you'll stress all the bearings. You gotta make sure it is in the sweet spot of the tensioner. Grrrrrrr, I hate squeecks
