You ain't seen nothing yet! Gas will be $10 a gallon! Osama Obama will drive this economy and country into the toilet. His "Cabinet" will be comprised of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Luis Farakan and the list goes on with a couple of token whites thrown in. With a Democratic Congress and Senate he will get literally anything he wants! Honestly, we really have not seen anything yet period! George W has single handedly destroyed the Republican party with his personal war and vendetta against his daddy's almost assasin.

Time to rebadge my 55 to HYBRID. Replace AMG badge and it should run electric. Should get way better mileage. Cost to modify : $2.50. Going green : Priceless.

With all these record-breaking profits that the oil companies are making right now, why aren't they making more refineries and producing more oil. It seems that it'd be better for them to sell more at a cheaper price than to sell less at a higher price. If they drive the price up too high, they will lose a lot of business

Be careful what you wish for!

I made a comment that I couldn't wait for gas prices to rise high enough to clear out the roads a bit then I bit my tongue when I realized what that might mean:

Many people riding scooters and motorcycles in place of cars. I have already seen an alarming number of scooters and bicycles pooping up around town, being operated by morons, and causing trouble. What happens wen it starts to be like the streets of Taiwan?!

In the mean time, I am on the hunt for an SL65 as I have never owned a V12. I figure that now is the time to own one before gas really gets nuts.

Most of us are pretty fortunate not to be effected by the gas prices but it really is impacting the average Joe pretty hard. This only compounds the credit mess that the majority of this country has gotten itself into.

To put things into perspective, those who operate heavy vehicles on the open road are really in deep ****! I just got the bill for transporting our race car to Road America and it was $1,800 for fuel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Era of Cheap oil is officially over. The last oil squeeze was an arbitrary politically induced bubble. This oil shortage is imposed by the biggest terrorist of all... Mother Nature, and rumor has it she's a total ***** .

Gas will hit $10 in the next two years, $15 is easily possible under natural disaster situations (hurricanes etc).

I hear AMG owners now saying "oh I don't care how high gas goes, I don't care if the mods I'm doing lower my MPG" those will be the first to regret it. If you want to mod, mod to GAIN efficiency, not gain HP. Lighten your car, use Royal purple, install non-overboost performance pulleys, make the car more efficient. These are the real most that will pay themselves off in the long run. Cranking up boost and putting software on the car will only hurt fuel efficiency in the long run.

You don't have to tell me, I own a trucking company, I pay $75K-$85K a month on diesel for my 35 trucks I run in the Chicago area. That's always my favorite bill to open each month.

In the time that it took for you to read this sign and make snippy comments about how we must be hurting having to fill this gas guzzler, I just made enough money to fill the tank again. Have a nice day.
+1 I have plenty of money to fill my tank even when the price doubles. It's like guns, I'll give up my keys when they pry my dead cold hands from around the FOB. BTW, I went on a long trip last week and averaged 22.5 MPG. Fu*k the Honda's and FTW.
