Has anybody use Wheels america to fix damage wheels? I am looking to have a set done by them but it seems to good to be true.

They can fix the whole wheel, refinish, take out bends and paint in 24 hours.

Crap, if then can do this thats awesome

The Wheels America quality will depend on which store you go to. I went to the one in Union City, and they said they could not fix a bent rim. I ended up going to : http://www.wheeltechniques.com/

highly recommended!

I've used them.
pricing was fair work was good as well. unfortunately the wheels I had were crap so it was hard to take the bends out of the entire wheel. (as in it wasnt a perfect circle) but it seemed liek good work

Yes, they're a wheel repair shop. I don't think it's so much they *couldn't* repair a bent wheel. I got the impression that they didn't *want* to - at least the guy that was there the day I stopped by. I didn't want to go somewhere where they had that attitude.

Wheel Techniques is local to you. They're in Santa Clara. I've been there twice already.

Although I have not used them, a number of my friends have used Wheel Techniques and were happy with the work. I don't know about now but for awhile, they were pretty busy and turn around time was definitely not 24 hours.

I used the Wheels America place in Santa Fe Springs to fix two bent wheels; in the process they refinished the wheels too. It took the 24 hours they advertised. I found the silver color to be a bit bluer than stock but not noticeable unless two wheels were side-by-side. Below are before-and-after pics.

I used them to paint the centers gunmetal on some AMG reps for my old S-Class, I think it was like $260 total, which was great for what I got, very happy. Here is the main site.

wheelS

Went by today and the shop looks professional. They just moved locations.

Just to let you know, they could not fix my rim due to the fact my 3 piece wheel had a rolled lip. This is the only wheel they cannot fix. I dont know if this is true for all repair places. Wheel Tech said they could fix them

Sucks I found this out after I drove 30 miles

What's a rolled lip? Maybe that's why they said they couldn't fix my wheel.

lips

most all 3 piece forged wheels and maybe regular 3 piece wheels have a reverse rolled lip. The metal is rolled over to give it strength. There is actually a gap in bewteen the roll.

The funny thing is Wheel techniques says no problem

Thanks. My wheels are 3-piece. WT also told me no problem. I think you'll like their work. Not sure how busy they are, but often times they quote a few days for turnaround, but it turns into a week or two. You have to keep "reminding" them. Good Luck

You should check out wheel techniques. I just got back a wheel from them today. The place is very busy though so the turnaround will probably be three to five days depending on the severity of the problem. They are very professional though, and I would recommend them.
