Hemi Throttle body for a S/C55 fit??
Has anyone tested the HEMI TB`s on our motors yet? I hear the stock HEMI TB is 82 mm and they make aftermarket Tb`s at 90mm.

The pictures look like our AMG tb`s but don`t know our stock PCM would run it or if it will even fit.

i've also been following their tb development but what i'm really disappointed about is how quick the aftermarket has been able to tune hemi (srt8) cars and get them set up to run on several different tunes at the drop of a hat.
wtf is wrong with our aftermarket!!!???

What's worse is that AMG never (that I know of) put out upraded anything, correct me if I'm wrong? You would think that everything the tuners are doing that the masters of engine building would improve on their original creations.

i'm pretty sure srt8 production numbers are going to be close enough to 55k production totals that this won't account for the whole story...especially knowing the amg tuning tax us idiots have been willing to pay.

I hear you on the converter. These heavy cars could gain .3-.5 off ET with a very street-able locking converter.. Of course traction will be and issue![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
http://www.converter.com/products.htm This company may be willing to make a converter for the 55, if they don`t already. I hear they make them for the Dodge and it has the NAG1 5 speed tranny.

I have a 6.1 (ok...stroked to 426 CI)Hemi with a 2,600 stall Pro-Torque converter and love it.
It did SLOW the 1/4 time down due to tire spin though.
If someone can tell by a photo, I have a couple in the garage and can attach a photo if that helps.
BTW, I did not see any change in fuel economy when the converter was installed.

The stroked 6.1 (426 CI) does like it better than the 6.1's.
However, all issues are not resolved.
It may perform better on a dyno, but still has driveability issues.
