Front plate?

Front plate?
Currently I have no front plate on the E63, the car looks like crap with a front plate, but I really need to put one on. The car currently has no holes drilled for it, and I would really like to have the option of taking the plate off if I wanted to.
Does anyone have a solution for mounting the front plate without making holes in the front bumper? I would tather not zip tie it to the grill because that would look VERY tacky.
Any help would be great.
Thanks!
Tom

i know i gave see
n people mount something to the toe hook. When I bought mine in VA the dealer drilled holes without my consent. DIdnt bother me much til I registered in Florida and didnt need a front plate...to cover up the holes I did as you see in my Sig with a euro plate. If i were you I would put your front plate on the passenger side blinder/sun shade and pop it down when you see cops. fold it up the rest of the time. I would do that as long as you can get away with it.

I'm going to look into the tow hook idea.

Very simple solution to this "dilema".
Extra strength double sided tape. I havn't seen it damage the paint, but it is usually just used to get the fix it tickets written off.
Can easily be had at Home Depot or the like.

Here on the west coast the cops really don't care though.

I just took a pass on one of the 08' E63's I looked at, for the sole reason of. It had a front license plate bracket on it. The dealer had already had it drilled on. So, yes, holes in the bumper is a HUGE negative...
I live in a state that requires 2 plates, but will NEVER but a front plate on any of my cars..

hmmm
You have to be very carefull.
A cop that just hapens to be doing nothing will use the NO FRONT LICENSE PLATE excuse to pull you over and waste your and his time for no reason.
It's just like the new law against being on the cell phone while driving. While i'am a big supporter of the Use the Handsfree Law,i also think that it is BS.
You can text and dial numbers(which is more dangerous)but you can not hold the phone to your ear?Sorry getting of topic. What i'am trying to say is,that they will use little things like the FLP and the Cell Phone law to pull people over for no reason, waste their time and look for other things they can Give you S*** about.Like pulling you over for the Cell Phone but then they ask you where is your fron license plate, and why are your windows tinted!

Hard to belive that you never got pulled over for it.
Maybe once you get a drivers license and drive on public roads you will.

My dad just bought an 08' E63, I was basically doing to leg work for him... White/pano roof, fully optioned. He picks it up Wed. Now, we have to do some 55 vs. 63 runs
I drove the car.. Strong car, no doubt.. But a but less "torquey" than the 55.. A "smoother" ride though...
I would be very interested in driving a C63.. Havent seen one around yet..

I've not had a front plate in NJ since the front bumper was replaced in December due to an accident my wife had, and I've not yet (knock on wood) had any issues with the local constabulary about it.
I did recently get a printed notice under my windshield wiper when parked at a local (to my home) strip mall though, informing me that it's illegal to have only one plate in NJ when two are issued. Still wondering if the police put it there or just a local busybody with too much time on his/her hands...

Unfortunately, I bought my car used so it came with the front plate already mounted. Had it not, I would take my chances with the NJ cops. I still might take it off and just get some of the plugs that are mentioned above. Has anyone in NJ heard about the front plate requirement going away next year?
