There's at least 5 of them right now in Valencia BMW. One sedan and four coupes. That Interlagos Blue looks pretty sweet.
NO. Some dealers are offering discounts below MSRP. The markups mostly started disappearing in April or shortly thereafter

I think it depends on coupe vs. sedan. Pretty sure the coupes have the DCTs out there, but I think they are just starting to make the sedans w/ DCT. A coworker here has been on a list for a while and couldn't find a single dealer who could get him a sedan with DCT. Coupes are abound. Probably all about the BMW production cycles, the sedan/DCT got produced last...

He was also offered $1k under sticker for a current production number from several dealers (that were far away), but chose to stay with a local dealer at MSRP.

bmw of mountain view will give you a couple thousand off msrp. and you can even order one and wait 3 months and still get about 2-3k off msrp.

no i wouldnt. i just wanted to drive it to see the hype. we got it up to about 100.

i already have One M3, do not want a second. plus, i dont like the coupe. looks too much like the 335i. i would consider a sedan with DCT if there was a smokin deal, im talkin probably 7k-10 off MSRP, but i doubt that would happen.

honestly im very happy with my E55 and E46M3 and dont have the budget or necessity for a 3rd vehicle right now. if i did, id get something like a CLK63BS.

i wonder what the outcome would be? they obviously stated 0-60 in about 4.9, 4.8 in the 6 speed so nevermind. but if he had the dct tranny on it......

the sedan is more agressive IMO.
DCT isnt out yet. they just started production in june, first one wont be outprobably till september.

but personally, for 70k, i just dont see enough of a performance advantage over a 335i.

look at it this way u can get a new 335i for about 45k.

add 5k for piggyback ECU, coilovers, exhaust, and a LSD, and you will have the same horsepower of the M3, with MORE torque for 20k less.

you can splurge for a nice set of wheels and some carbon fiber trim and still pocket about 15k.

to me, the 335is debut really killed M3 sales/desirability.
$70k? Youch. You can get a M3 sedan for much less. Maybe not in CA, dunno.

Before I bought my '05 E55, I came very close to buying a new M3 sedan for right at $60k with 19"s.

I liked it. Nice muscular lines (especially with the 19s). Certainly handles and stops better than the 4000lb E55, but it's also noisier, more "plastic-y" in the interior and generally a more spartan experience, so I decided to go with the loaded-out Mercedes for a little more cushy luxury and save myself a few thousand to boot.

70k is about right for fully loaded. ive seen them as low as 64k and change for the window price.

i guess i just use that as my base because i will not buy any car thats not well optioned.

the MSRP on my E55 was like 94k.
