Wheel trade: My HRE 19 inch 547r rims with Michelin Pilot Sport for your 18s??
Morning,
I am wanting to go back to 18 inch rims. So, I am looking to trade a set of 19 inch HRE 547r... chrome finish in excellent condition for a set of lightweight, strong, 18inch rims... in stock size. My HREs have Pilot Sports 2s. The rears are probably good for a 3-4K thousand miles (well depending on how you drive!!) and the fronts will probably last through a second set of rears. Rears 275 and fronts 255.
The HREs are in excellent condition. One rear rim has a 4 inch length of minor curb rash... the photo was taken on macro to show it well. The center of the same rim has a small (about 1.5 inch) blemish where something chipped the clear coat. The other 3 rims are blemish free.
I would like 18s that are lightweight... less than 20lb or there about, strong and look good on our cars. Black/Hyperblack finish would be great. Tires not that big a deal since the trade would be more about the rims.
Going back to 18s for better ride quality.. our local road quality sucks and the E55 is my daily drive. The super low profile on the 19s is just too rough a ride for my choice in a daily driver.
I have stock rims so, if you only have one set of wheels/tires, I could ship the HREs first and then you could ship yours once the HREs are on your car.
Any trades out there??
Would also consider a sale of the HREs and then just buy some 18s with the proceeds. Open to any reasonable offer.
I have a perfect Ebay rating, which I can share, if someone wants reassurance on the trade/sale.
Thanks, Mark.

Why don't you just powdercoat your stock rims black? They are among the lightest you will find that are still extremely strong. I have a set of original 18s that are in good shape you could do it with while you ride on your originals. I am sure you would have done that already though. I have a nearly perfect ebay/paypal rating as well.

Well shipping is probably not too bad from Powell to Salt Lake. I may even be able to meet you in Denver if it worked out. I have tires on the rims, but I certainly understand if you would like to find a different kind..
