I'm sure you could, I am not a drag racer...put some turns in there and it's a different story. If I'm only turning 12.20's in my modded 63 and you are turning high 11's in a stocker, that's all driver. You may be able to attribute .100 to elevation or conditions, but even factoring that I am .150 off the pace of your record run.

but just to add something, the people with the high records are not normal drivers and know what they are doing and in which weather to do it in. Others just have practiced so much that they also got the experience to make things happen.

Funny thing is I rolled with one this saturday and boy did it sound sweet!!, It is a good looking car, all white with those beauty front lights, very nice, but a bit crammed for me, and yeah no way in hell I will pay 100K+...POS...lol!~!!!

Torque = better low end, HP = better top end

E55 = low end grunt = sligtly better 1-100MPH

E63 = Big Horsepower = noticably better above 100MPH

Let's talke about 1/2 mile or 0-150 apposed to 1/4 mile and 120MPH - E63 all the way

Also, let's not forget the E55's have had the benefit of 4+ years of tuning experience, compared to less then 2 for the E63.

Lastly, don't foget why the AMG engineers went away from the blower and to natural big displacement - RELIABILITY! Only time will tell, but I suspect the 63's will be far more reliable.

Anyone want to race?

i don't really gives a rat's *** that the E55 is few tenths (here or there) faster than the E63 in 1/4 mile.

but if i did, maybe i should start a thread about a E63 beating a E55 to the speed limiter now who's the body builder of sedans
