For those of you who want to run against a properly driven C6 Z06, i wanted to confirm that I just spoke to Jamie Furman and he will definitely be in attendance to make some runs with us.

First of all I have not gone high 10's yet, my fastest e/t to date is a 11.29 and that is on the bottle, approx 85 shot. There are a number of reasons I think I can go high 10's. First of all is the loaction and air temp, they all swear MIR is one of the fastest tracks in the land due elevation and a near perfect track surface. Second thing is I have already cut an additional 220 pounds off my car since the last time I had it at the track, last but not least is the fact that I have having a few more go fast goodies installed as we speak. I keep hearing about all these 11.0 and high 10 running bone stock Z06's, but I have yet to see one, to date I have beaten 4 C6 Z06's, one of which was a 485 whp Katech Z06 which I just happen to have on video. Sounds like there might be one in attendance at MIR, I can't wait to see him run.

c6 Zs are 460-475 whp on average
The few katech Zs i know are sporting 550+ to the wheels, with a few in the 600s.
Anyone coming from nyc/north jersey?

George,
I'm going to be taking 80/90 East, but I am trailering my car. My motorhome will not be much fun to caravan with but if you are interested I'd be happy to meet up with you near Toledo where 75 and 80 meet up. I assume you will be coming from I-75 right? I am most likely leaving on Thursday night, but we may just leave very early on Friday morning. Let me know what you think.
Jim

Cool, I hope you can make it, I want the midwest to be well represented at this event. Let me know if you need me to haul any of your gear or extra wheels/tires or anything.

I am either leaving late the afternoon of Thursday the 13th or very early on Friday morning. If I leave on Thursday night I planned on driving to about Cleveland and stopping for the night. I was not planning on going through Columbus, it looks like 80/90 to Cleveland then down to 76 is the fastest route from Chicago. If anyone knows of a better route let me know.

Does the track sell race fuel? Will it be available the day of our event? If not are there any stations in the area that sell at least 99 un-leaded, would prefer 100 or 103 but 99 will do. I am going to be showing up at the track with a 1/3 of a tank in the car (optimum weight I have found) but after the event I am probably going to ditch the hauler/trailer and roll in the BS. I only feed my girl high quality race fuels. I can bring a drum of VP, but I would rather not, I'm not going to apply for a haz mat permit and fines are huge for hauling over 10 gallons of fuel in an onboard container.
What's going on on Friday night and Saturday night? I should be in the DC area late Friday afternoon. Are we going clubbing? I'm down with anything.

Hopefully we can get to watch Randy Couture vs Brock Lesnar somewhere. Then maybe a nice upscale nightclub featuring a long line of would be patrons standing out in the cold, rude gorilla-like bouncers shooting down crying and pleas over the thumping sound of techno music, and hardly anybody inside.

I am not worried about any friggin lines. Take me to the hottest club in town, we will be in line for about 2 minutes, or as long as it take me to grease the right guy and tell him how many people we need a table for.
What about my fuel question?
