I'm still rolling... 30 miles east of Cleveland. I hit a few areas of light snow in indiana but have managed to average 61 mph with this big pig, any of you IL or MI guys wondering about rods they are fine even at these late hours...so no excuses not to make the trip.

 

Will four 5 gallon mini drums of VP Race fuel fit in the trunk of a C63?

Who's going to get the most speeding tickets back/forth?

How do MT DRs like the snow?

Hi, two questions
how much to race? 100 or 200, i kept reading through theses seeing different numbers so..?
and i'll be running high 13's if not low 14's probably just a bit over 100, do i need to bring a helmet? or can i borrow one from a some else or does the track rent them out?
actually 3 questions, can my friend bring his evo 9 mr? it's in the shop but suppose to get out today.

 

Im getting up there late Friday night like around 12 ish. Going to be starving after 4+ hours of driving, any good places to get some food and some drinks?

 

Ok...so I lied, I ended up stopping tp sleep for the night 50 miles or so past Cleveland and woke up to about 2 inches on the ground, its snowing lightly but roads are not bad. Radar say I should be past it soon. Chicago guys, if you can take the south route through Indy it should be dry, but I'm no weatherman so watch tv to form your own decisions

Anything lower than 14s requires a helmet. You can probably borrow one form someone else. I know the rent out helmets at test and tunes but I'm not sure about rentals.

As I said earlier, track temps will be very cold. Dress appropriately and be careful since the track may be slippery because of the cold. MIR will do their best to make the track hook for us

 

My car isnt feeling that strong these days, I have a feeling traction is going to be an issue for me tomorrow as well. If I can go low 11's i will be happy. Looks like the weather is on our side!!

Air temps are looking much lower than they were predicting earlier in the week however the are calling for very sunny conditions now vs partly cloudy predictions earlier in the week, hopefully the sun will help get the track temps up since the air temps will not.

I have a 3G phone, I checked the nationwide 3G coverage map and it show the track is in the 3G network coverage area, my friend will be posting some updates throughout the day. I am posting this from my phone...no need for wireless internet cards or wifi anymore...gotta love technology
