New 63 Record???
#101
First of all I will do whatever I see fit to my car, I do not need to verify anything to you or anyone on this board. The fact that my car has shown very similar dyno numbers on 3 different dynos is all the proof I need. I was not born yesterday, I know how easy it is to manipulate dyno figures, that is why I had my car on a dyno the same week I got it back from Evosport, and it made 2 more HP than it showed on the Evosport dyno. Anyone that knows me knows that ALL of my many vehicles are always evolving, even my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited is always getting goodies added here and there. As for my trap speeds I have trapped in the 119's, but with a slower e/t. Weather permitting I am headed back to the track tomorrow night with the exact same set up as last Tuesday when I set this record, let's see what happens with trap speeds then. I have not changed gearing ratios, everything is bone stock in my final drive. I am looking into new, stronger rear-ends and gearing, but most likely will stay with stock ratios because this car's main purpose for me is road racing, not drag racing and the gearing seems to be optimal for the cars main purpose. Bottom line is that I could really car less about my trap speeds, E/T is what decides the winner of a drag race the last time I checked, and the last time I checked I beat Oldgixxers E/T by an 1/8th of a second. If you think I am going to show up at MIR with a measly 500whp you're nuts. If there is a product to make my car faster, it will be on my car by November, sorry to dissapoint.
What about this Q:
Since your so hell bent on proving your BS is the baddest thing on the block, what ever happened to your race w/Zlicious C6 Z06??

This thread was already cleaned up but I feel it getting dirty again. Lets tread lightly in the calling out and rebutting department please.

Woah....Bragging rights are deff in order you beat a 100% BONE STOCK E63 THAT WEIGHS MORE etc.. By an ENTIRE 1/8th of a second in E/T Dayum what was I thinking LoL.... I bet if Oldgixxer ran the 1/4 w/out his airfilters he'd beat you in E/T and Trap 119+

I'm not slinging any mud or harsh insults, besides that, I can handle whatever is aimed towards me, I don't take these things too seriously. That being said I really don't see anything that is too harsh from anyone. I never say the oldgixxer quotes that got him banned so maybe it was a little heated at some point, but so be it.

don't snub your nose at 500rwhp. there are some 55's that don't even put down a "measley 500whp" (mine included) but like you said et is what wins a drag race and those cars are still almost a half second quicker than you.

No arguement here, I am well aware of the vast number of 55's posting mid to low 11 second passes, those are the cars that I have in my crosshairs.

next time at the strip take a walk down the track, you're shoes will stick to it.... I'm sure his car spins like mad on the street, but at the drag strip it's much stickier... My E55 puts down 540 rtwq @ 3k RPM and I can't spin past the 60' with a good launch, and that's probably around 100 ft/lbs more than his car is making.....
I also think that with these 7 speeds the chance of spinning out after the shift seems much higher?

it really depends on the track. For example in all the numerous times I have gone to sac raceway I have spun excessively with the exception of 2 runs. Both were right after the sticky stuff was throw down.

People are trying to help someone out by asking questions and addressing the 20 ton elephant in the corner.... the person being helped gets angry and makes it personal...the people responsible for the set-up lash out .....
Guys..they obviously have things figured out ( ) ...so let them do whatever they think is right and let the results play out on 11/15 @ MIR.... let the Emporer strut down the 1/4 mile without his clothes....

Awesome. That may be the best quote I have ever seen on this board. When this room cools down maybe some others will take a minute and appreciate it as well. I am with you Jcart.

If you want to beat the E55's, play their game. Go buy a 1993 5.0 Mustang, supercharge it and give it the bottle. Bye bye E55.
It isn't only about who wins but also who does it (or get's damn close) in style. Also the reason I chose the 63 over a used 55...
At the end of the day we are all AMG freaks, let's just get along.

the 7 speed and gearing will have some effects, but looking at the slips, I would say no excessive spinning on those 3 runs.... they said he spins after the 330' mark, that is pretty far down the track so start lighting up the tires on a dragstrip....
with your runs, you hooked the launch up (< 1.9 60'), then started spinning well after the 60' mark? If you are spinning from the start/launch, most of our cars can continue the spin down half the track with ease..... so that's irrelevant....
I didn't notice the rear spoiler, that will certainly hold the car back as well, not too much though, it doesn't look that large..... I've seen Viper's with the GT2 wing (large rear wing), pick up 4 MPH trap speeds after taking the wing off.
Maybe it's the chicken wing doors?

Not to defend Brad (I don't want to get banned! so I guess I will) but it really depends on the track. For example in all the numerous times I have gone to sac raceway I have spun excessively with the exception of 2 runs. Both were right after the sticky stuff was throw down.
