I can think of ten shops in the US that can do that for half the price, just as well.

Its wierd right - you would think they would take this into account in setting their product and price point... its madness what they charge.

Sure sounds nice tho - full internals and externals .... yummy.

Point is that they make 680hp and that isn't bad. We don't need to buy the parts, but why not learn a bit from them? I'm trying to get what I can from their intake, exhaust (which also uses a HEM rather than headers), and cooling for my own car. Their stuff is truly unique.

I just want the intercooler - that's really the only exclusive part. But they wont sell it seperately.

What is nice is the idea of using the airfilter area for a custom I/C and moving the airfilters elsewhere - I assume down front... I just dont have the time or the resources to investigate this and get it developed externally especially when they have already done it. Would be interesting to know who fabs it up for them....

I must be missing something....... why is it so impressive? VRP can produce 700 HP from their VR700 kit for much cheaper, and it's proven on the dyno???

Don't get me wrong, MKB maybe a great company and all, but 700 hp has already been done before. Now, if they come up with 800 hp package, then that's a different story.

modified luxury & exotics featured one of mkb's 680hp e55s a couple of years ago (long before any other tuner had reached those hp numbers). i tried to post the article but the scans are too big to upload according to the silly attatchment manager. there are pictures and info around here of another one that was probably making upwards of 750hp (track proven, not a dyno queen) and was said to run 10's without n2o.

The pricing here in europ is very high regardless of what tuner you chose.
For example Kleemann headers 6000$ Kleemann pulleykit 8000$
Brabus pulleykit 8000$

There's nothing they could do to my car that would make it worth spending 120k.... Unless they put a duffel bag in the trunk filled with 121k+ lol.

UK price lists are probably worse... even in the state the economy is on now...!!!!

Amazing they can develop stuff like this and actuallly sell it... what a luxury...

Guess they sell 2 kits and R&D is recovered... so mbe not so silly afterall from their point of view.

Again its all relative... I showed my wife a picture of a handbag in a magazine going for $75,000 (I think it was Botega Veneto) and I said that it is obscene and rediculous etc from ANYBODY's perspective, but she said its all relative people will buy it purely because it costs so much for the exclusivity... the Human nature is one wierd Ba$tard...

I guess if you are worth a few billion it really does not make a difference if its 75,000 or 100,000 money really is no object... but I doubt you would have accumulated a billion of anything spending $75k on a handbag.

Its completely obscene we have children starving in the world and this stuff goes on... (sorry getting completely OT here).

BTW - everything is cheaper in the good 'ol US of A. You guys have it real good... for example a new E55 here was around $105k.... SL65 around $210k... so again all relative...

From my perspective the MKB kit at a quarter of the price is not worth it...

this rule doesn't work for those gents, mainly from lands where oil or other raw mats grow by themselves from under the soil

I'll take 2! Anyone know of a good shipping company? I am going to want one that charges at least $30,000 to ship my car over there.

The widebody E55 and its engine were develloped under special order of Al-maktoom prince of UAE...

UAE and japan are the main market for that kind of stuff...

Spending 120k on an engine upgrade is common in UAE.

OIL...OIL...OIL...OIL...OIL...OIL...OIL

I remember an old arab man saying: "Oil is the devil's poo".I think he was right

Nice being MKB then I guess...

Fools and their fortunes are soon seperated... unless your fortune is pumping at $125/ barrel....
