a C32 AMG & S-Works Tarmac
I know that this is a stretch but, Everyone's favorite C63 forum poster "Last Emperor" found and posted this link:

It is a goofy 4 lap race between an IS-F, C63, M3 and G35. You can witness how the IS-F holds its own admirably but you will see the results you all would expect with that line up. The C63 is going to me more nimble than the E55, obviously.

I don't know why everyone was so shocked. If you look at how close in performance the ISF is to the C63 then you will realize that it's a pretty quick car. I saw a comparison where the ISF was a .01 or 02 slower than the C63 which means to me one thing to me, "Drivers Race"

It looks like we will all have to go to a Stage 1 or Stage 2 setup to be able to be King of the Hill for a few more years as far as 4 door sedans go.

2006 E55
C&D posted some very strong #'s for the IS-F earlier this year - almost on pace with the E55 until the 120 MPH range.

Remember, it takes a lot of power to aggressively pull away at speeds (especially when you spin tires and someone else gets a jump on you).

Yeah, it's my wifes contribution to the environment - I have yet to ride in it or drive it after close to three years of ownership - absolute POS if you ask me.

55k cars are not easy to launch hard from traffic lights, right tires, width and modulation of throtel is needed or else you are lossing alot of your adcantage...
had an M6 with euro launch control refusing to race me form a traffic light last night...would only do 50kph rolling races no less ....
trust me get the right tires and practice on launching and oyu have a good trafic light car ;p

lets keep in mind that 0-60 or 80 races are mostly up to the driver...

the Lexus driver obviously knew it was going to take you on.. since the E55 didn't know it was a IS-F...

any car doing mid 4's and running high 12's stock is going to keep up with just about anything..

is only after 3 digits you will see the difference...

Any race around town will always seem closer due to the limit in speed... duration of the race.

I'm not sure why people would think the E55 should be cars ahead on a short burst?

1) our transmission are slow and 2) torque converter robs our power 3) loss of traction

Even a C32 with light mods will surprise a E55/E63 or any lightly modded STI, 335, Evo9, ect. Those cars won't win.. but if you give a .5 jump.. you better step on it to catch up.

The only way the E55 would pull ahead, would be on a stop light with comfort suspension and making sure the kompressor is engaged and our cars launch like NHRA smoothness..

If the E55 is on sport settings and the kompressor is not engaged at the light.. expect to have a harder time off the line.

Thought you guys might enjoy this vid.
Pretty impressive showing for the IS-F, but it certainly isn't a Beast. I'll keep my Beast.

2003 E55 AMG
I'm not sure why all the surprise. When the magazines were first testing the IS-F, it had the same time 0-150mph. Well, it was either identical, or only a tenth or so off. I remember thinking, I had best get a jump on that car if I ever run into one...
