intercooler on wagon
My stock (for the time being......how fast should one go with 5 kids on board ?) E55 has started to drop the supercharger, as in I floor it and the charger dose not engage. Only started to today on the hotest day so far and I think the coolant pump has stoped working for the intercooler. I lifted the hood (been reading this forum for waayyy to long..hood lol) and the intercooler is stone cold even after a 150 mile thrash . Dose this sound like pump or the super charger clutch ?

If you are out of warranty, cheapest fix is the pump. Clutch part alone is 1200beans. Ouch!
Also if you are out of warranty, consider replacing with Johnson 30 pump. Fits right in and works a lot better.
Just my 2 yen.

Thanks for the help, the car is under warranty for nearly 3 years or another 69k miles and its booked in for early next week to be fixed. I`m 2200 miles aways from a `c` service so might as well have it serviced early ? It had all the plugs and fluids changed just before I got it (by mercedes for the used car scheme) along with tracking, new tyres and a few other parts so any idea what a `c` service includes ?
thanks
