TEST DROVE CL65 TODAY..MY IMPRESSIONS

Granted was only about a 20 minute ride but here are some quick observations...
a) car feels big , drives big and is big!!
b) adaptive seats???? are real cool
c) exhaust sounds NASTY!!
d) car is fast but thought it would be faster.
e) very, very classy interior
f) way to many gadgets and electronics for me.

Dealer might want to buy back my 63 early. They have this 65 and a black on black CLK63 BS that I would be interested in. But I have to be honest, when I got back into my 63 to drive home. I was a happy camper. Don't know if I could pull the trigger.

Be prepared to take a monumental bath on the 65 if you ever try to get out early. I had one (2005 bought in 2006) and got an amazing deal, the money lost was no big deal for me but being a business person I still was kicking myself after I dumped it.

Since it has adaptive seats it must be a w216.

I know a dealer with a Blk/Blk right now trying to let it go for $175-$180. Car list for $200+. Are they really taking that kind of bath?

Makes sense. The car is a year old at this point. There are a bunch of used ones selling on Autotrader that list between 160-180 (mileage ranges between 41 and 14k). I'm sure for most of those cars you could knock $5-10k off the list depending on the delear. Dealer's are taking $20k off the SL550 which is half the MSRP of the CL65 (granted the SL has a new model).
