Take your car in and have it looked over once in a while!
I say this because, as some of you may recall, since my crankshaft pulley install, I've had this annoying squeal coming from the engine bay. I stopped by a local guy's shop here and he said it sounded like the belt tensioner. He said he could do the work cheaper than Mercedes, but I should check with the dealer as he thought it would be covered by my aftermarket warranty. So I go to the dealer and talk to my SA and he calls the company up directly..."yep, the belt tensioner is covered, bring it back in tomorow"...Sweet!
So I drop my car off and we are looking at my pulley and stuff and talking about modding cars (very cool SA), and he says "we'll really look your car over since the aftermarket warranty is an open checkbook, we'll make the paperwork right." Besides the belt tensioner, my valve cover gaskets were leaking so my SA is having those replaced since they are also covered. I asked him if they found anything else since the car was already in the shop and he said they didn't. Which is good, my noisy Benz will be fixed with new gaskets...sweet.
What I've learned...the aftermarket warranty can certainly be used to your benefit since there is no out of pocket money from the Mercedes side. As long as you go in and make sure certain items are covered before the work, no sweat. Or, you may have a cool SA that says "we'll make sure the paperwork is right"...
Long story short, I'll be taking my car in a little more frequently to ensure everything is good to go!

LOL!! dunno when you told us, but I'll take an MB extended warranty over another anyday. i like the concept here and that is all cool, IF you don't have MB connections. If you have no warranty, then getting any help from a connection is next to impossible. He needs that warranty to work his end. CPO means it was a clean car, too and i don't mean in looks.

I've got Easy Care if I remember right (too lazy to go check at the moment). Anyway, I picked my car up today and was chatting with my SA and I told him I would probably come in every 3 months or so just to have my car checked and he said make the warranty work for you...sweet!
