The My Ride set-up still does not work, so mine is worthless for now too.

Haha, that trap is awesome. But yeah, I'm curious to know how people are setting up their runs. The mounting of the iPhone is critical to the accuracy I believe. It is very sensitive to movement and needs to be secured. I found some cradles/holders online that I'm going to buy that should do the trick. I think if mounted properly, we should start to see some decent results (hoping anyway).
After seeing ur results, it seems to me this app is 'juuuuuuuust' below the mississippi method.

Alright! My Dynolicious suddenly started working just fine. So, I took it out and gave it a 5 minute test down a local (quite) street.
Although not stellar, it is impressively fun. It seems fairly accurate and even nailed the HP output. I did the backwards calculation for drivetrain losss (18% on mine) and it was exactly what the factory claimed.

E55 (for sale if the right offer comes along)...too many others to list
Just got my 3G phone today. For $13 bucks it's worth the entertainment. Thank you for sharing. FYI for those of you that had the old Iphone...the 3G is much faster.

I got the app this morning. It is pretty fun if you can find nice open roads. Don't know how accurate it is, so I posted results for debate. The 210 E55 is "supposed to do" 5 flat 0-60, but I kept getting times from 5.9-6.2 which sounds reasonable since I've never drag raced and can't really launch that well. The real time graph is AWESOME!!!
3 runs. 91 degrees outside. 3 to 5 minutes between each run, engine running the whole time and the car had been driven for 30 minutes prior to reaching secret location. No more than 10 minutes to complete all 3 runs:
Run 1: Traction Control On (12:59PM)
60" - 2.54 @ 28.3mph
0-60 - 5.98
1/4 - 14.31 @ 100.2mph
Run 2: Traction Control On (1:05PM)
60" - 2.63 @ 28.2mph
0-60 - 6.11
1/4 - 14.49 @ 100.8mph
Run 3: Traction Control Off (1:08PM)
60" - 2.54 @ 28.1
0-60 - 6.2
1/4 - 14.56 @ 100.7
I forgot to reset the ecu, so I got no wheelspin from the 3rd run even with TC off. I am going to repeat the test, after adding Lucas Fuel Cleaner, reseting the ECU, doing an oil change, and replacing the air filters this weekend.
The W210 has a brilliant mounting point! All you do is take the ashtray out and slide the iPhone in. Pull up on the bottom of the iPhone and it will wedge itself in exactly in line with the front of the car and it will not slide or move around in anyway. I did notice the cupholder can angle the phone away from the true front reducing accuracy, but the ashtray removed mounting point is completely flush. As the phone lays nearly flat you also can cleary see and manipulate the touch screen to start the run. Plus if the fuzz is on to you, you can close the ash try lid/cover with no problem!!!!

Just bought the App. Sucks I let my sister drive my car. Guess I'll have to try it on the 4Runner And yes the 3G is waaayyyy faster than my old 2G. I recommend to upgrade even though the phone feels cheaper and lighter then the original.

Only had one chance to try my Dynolicious in my E55, on Mexican highway no traffic. The start button takes awhile to actually start the run as you can see in my 60 time. Second gear lost traction yellow triangle had to lift. all things considered it works pretty well on a bad road. Once I get the operator error dialed out it could prove to be quite accurate.

I think this is the current thread for this, no?
Anyways, to answer a few questions from trial, error, and reading forums.
Jailbreak and this App seem to have problems when adding vehicles.
Calibration seems to work best with the phone lying flat in the ashtray area (with ashtray removed). Calibrates almost instantly whereas sitting verticle in the cup holder never calibrated.
Times seem to be off by about a second or so at least...not sure if it is the lag or what. My best 0-60 is around 5.24 with 2.81 60'. I believe I did better than that...but who knows.

I did some runs last night with the freebie Pocket Dyno ap....
Results were extremely consistent, and I'm very pleased. Best run, with traction control enabled and lousy 60' time, was 12.70 @ 118.12, which DA corrects to 12.67 @ 118.54. Thread here:
This was after extremely careful calibration using an L-shaped surface to ensure unit was perfectly level both horizontally and vertically during cal, and very careful wedging of unit in vehicle to ensure no movement during run.
Considering that the tests of these things have shown that traps are actually normally 0.6-0.8 mph slow in trap, I'm mighty pleased with that trap.
