Poll- new E55 or CLK55?
Does the absence of 2 doors and a supercharger deter you from buying a new CLK55 assuming the two cars are within $5000 of each other? The E55 seems to offer a lot more performance for the money. I'm also going to post this poll on the E55 forum to compare results.

well they have toned down the styling from what i have heard. i saw a close to production picture of the e60 and it was nice.
the //M people are important to bmw so bangle's influence will hopefully be diluted, well at least thats what i heard

im going to agree that the latest pictures i have seen of the ///M6 have impressed me, i like the lines....
there is no way that the CLK55 in its current form will last very long, and i doubt it will sell worth a damn as for just a little more money you can have 2 extra doors, a better looking car in my opinion, and over 100hp more.....
not putting a S/C in the new CLK ///AMG was a big mistake that i think will be fixed in the next couple years....

Big thumbs down on the new CLK55, mostly because it is a weak upgrade over the W208CLK55.
The W211E55, however, is a major upgrade from the 210.
*horsepower increase from 350 to almost 500
*major improvement in braking system
*upgraded to variable suspension
*huge improvement in what I thought was a very bland and austere interior
*much more up to date appearance

The new CLK55 is nice except for not having a SC. I don't mind four-doors, but it will take some getting used to having a B-pillar. That's my only complaint with the E55!
