Questions about.... Unveiled: Pioneer AVIC F-Series Car Navigation [PICS]
Hey all....
As we all know our command units for our cars really stinks. If I wanted to upgrade to something like this....

Does anyone know where I can get something to install this around so it looks of in my car? Like in dash. I have the, I think its called the walnut dark wood grain. Really not sure what its called but its like a black and gray wood grain. I would like to get a radio like this and get rid of my unit but cant see doing it without having it look good. Dont want a rigged job.
Anyway what have people done about the odd shape of our radios?
I have an e63 incase you havent figured this out.

Don't have any answers but I have the same questions.
Was just up at my dealer tonight and they had the Pioneer unit installed on a SMART. Incredible install that looked very close to stock.
While it was a tick slow to respond to the touch, it was just LIGHT YEARS ahead of the W211 units.

If you are near sacramento I can take you to a shop that can install anything anywhere and make it look stock. The harder the job the more cash. They will charge full retail for product also, but any problem you have they will fix right there or put a new one in right there they do not BS around sending stuff in to get fixed while you are out a product.

i'd stay away from the f series for awhile. they are extremely slow to boot up anywhere from 40 to 60 seconds and it has a small screen and very buggy.they did release a firmware update but still alot of unhappy users. check avic411.com, i kept my command unit and installed 1 arc audio 1000/1 for two jl10w6's in the trunk with 2 Arc Audio 300/2 amps for my Focal kp2's in all four doors. i couldn't be happier with my system
