If my math serves me correctly the 295/35/18 should have nearly the same circumference as the 275/40/18 you are looking to replace. I'm just not familar enough with your car to know if a 295 is gonna fit and clear everything. I'd just hop over to the tire Rack website and play around with some of their tools on their web site, they will know what's gonna fit and what's not gonna fit.
I know I was able to go from a 285 to a 305 on my car while still lowereing the car an additional 1.6 inches lower than stock with no rubbing issues whatsoever.

Well, obviously the front would fit since it is the same size. why do you want to drp a profile in the rear. Yes, it will fit and work, but it will sit fuggly and your odometer will be off. why not a 40 series?
