23 grand is still a bit more than what the average 19 year olds car will cost. Most 19 year olds don't have the funding, nor the credit for financing on a car above 20 grand, so it is slightly impressive to me, for a 19 year old to purchase an E.

$23k is still $10k less than the accord, mustang gt, or generic oversized SUV that most parents buy their kids when they start driving, so cost-wise it really isn't out of line with his age group. Actually, he probably saved some money.

But with that said, most people at 19 would set their sights on something different. Look how many guys his age run out and dump $20k into modifying some stupid ricer or mustang. He went and got himself a car that performs but also has class. Gotta give him his props when they're due, and the kid definitely has good tastes.

Thanks for the nice comment!

My parents originally wanted to get me an 04 E55, but we got an amazingly good deal on an 06 with low mileage. But ya, E55s aren't anything too special, I just really appreciate my parents getting me my dream car.

The question is ... what did you own when you were 19? (not trying to be rude, just asking honestly) Ill tell you this, I was nowhere close to an E55 or its equivalent back then but my Nissan truck did me just fine.

The progression of cars I have owned over the years has not only mirrored my success but has also given me much perspective of the value of a dollar and how my parents raised me.

But with that being said I know that Danny's car didnt cost 23k either.

A 2006 with low miles is nowhere near that number.

Why does it make you feel uncomfortable? I'm pretty sure no one here really cares how much your car costs with all due respect.

I know it doesnt matter to anyone else. Its just that my car and my age keep coming up and I'm sick of it. I really dont want to discuss it anymore.

Hey, Dodge and MBZ were the same company for a while, so the caravan works. Vic just needs to explain how the Nissan fits in. Lol
