LOL, we'll find a nice long straight road that's 5 lanes wide.

1/4 mile times would be nice....but with all the different variables, they are usually not a good reference point. Baseline dyno numbers and tuned dyno numbers are what really matter.

FWIW, I'll post both corrected and uncorrected/actual track times. All dyno numbers are 1:1, SAE corrected.
Honestly in this instance I think track times will tell the whole tale simply because most of the TCU changes won't show up on the dyno.

Thanks
Andy

I'm more interested in TRAP #'s as well, they tell the entire story. Dyno's can be rigged/different/etc.... I'm rooting for that 120mph trap

Hell! I'm sick of waiting just meet ROCK & race on the 5 laner NOW if you can hang w/124mph trapping E55 that will speak volumes.

We may not be able to race heads up on Friday but Rock will get to drive the car this Sat and hopefully race against it next Tues. Definitely gunning for a 120+ trap.

Thanks

Would they show up if you saw the dyno run from first gear shifting all the way thru the top; stock versus modded ? Never been on dyno for such an undertaking - just guessing

I am a bit worried the TCU tuning on the 7 speeders wont grenade the box.... we all know the 5 speeds are bullet proof - or at least we think so.... and would be much more comfortable removing Torque limiting software in that application I would think.

I would tend to agree. It just seems odd to me that MHP will "revolutionize the tuning industry" while companies such as Carlsson and Brabus have yet to offer anything like this. It makes me think there must be a reason for this lack of options if the power increases are this substantial.

A long-term reliability test may be the best real-world validation of cost/benefit.

Question

With all of this waiting around for track time, I'd at least like to see how the ECU/TCU affects a dyno run at least. Surely you would see the extra horses unleashed?

We could do an estimated quarter mile run (through the gears) on our Mustang Dyno, and it might, but then again why waste the time when I'm going to hit the track anyway.

All trannys have their limitations, even the tough as nails WA5As. The key as I've said before is getting the two control units in synch so they're working together, not against each other.
Yes there is more room to play with a 5A, but that doesn't mean we can't alter stock TM settings with a 7A safely.

Thanks

We are considering doing ECU/TCU seperately for only the 55s/65s, and likely only if the other control unit is stock.

Trust me when I say, if they could, they would.

LOL!

I'm still up in MI working on Marko's TCU, Dave is working on yours as I type this--we're shooting to get them out the door by Friday. I'm headed back to Columbus tomorrow afternoon in preparation for the big day. It looks like I'll be dynoing and going to the track on Fri. Car feels like a monster, so as long as there's decent prep and air I think we'll be right on target with our track estimates.

Thanks

JT-
I think we'll have plenty of muscle at MIR when all of the doubters will meet Andy for the first time. Jim is bringing his buddy and he is a tad larger than me! We'll be fine if all of those haters show! It's GAME TIME!

Andy-
