The E didn't seem that fast...pretty nuts nonetheless. Gotta love oil money.

A stock 2008 Land Cruiser has 381 HP and curb weight of 5,690 lbs. Must have added one hell of a turbo setup. Or prolly just that the E didn't even come close to hitting it.

Yeah, not buying it at all. You can see the E55 speedo through parts of it; they started from a roll and at 10 secs into the video the E55 is only at 80 (or 100, depending on year).

Either the E was broken or he just wasn't trying at all.

Why is it BS!? Anything can be fast with a turbo setup.

I'm not saying it isn't fast, it looks pretty fast. The BS portion comes in that the E55 isn't pushing it, so the landcruiser appears to be a truly fast vehicle.

Watching the video again it does look like the speedo isn't moving much... However, there are many "lesser" vehicles out there that will put a stank a** beating on an E55, so it's not like it isn't possible...

not sure totally why but the video doesnt look weirdly suspicious. Doesnt seem like the E was pushing it the whole way through. Only at times.

I have driven many E55s, and one of the first things I noticed was the ridiculous speed at which the speedometer sweeps upwards. A properly running E55 would have been at 120+ by the time the E55 in the video got to 90.

3 options;

1: It's not a 55.
2: Driver wasn't pushing it.
3: Something's wrong with it

Don't you realise HOW much power that Landcruiser would need to leave a
healthy E55. You MUST be all mad for even believing it for a second.
Because of it's weight and it's brick like shape I guess it would need 1000hp.
To make an impression, with increasing speed comes increasing noise.
The 55 sounds loud at first then gets quiter, it should be the other way round.
It's BS.

The tach does indeed seem to be going correctly on the E55, but the speedo does not seem to be where it should be based on the tach.

Not an E55...at least one that is healthy. You also do NOT hear the supercharger whine...so it was probably not working.

Many Landcruisers run 2JZ-GTE (Toyota Supra) powerplants. I personally owned a 2JZ which made over 1800HP. It is not very difficult to obtain a reliable 1000 HP from a stock longblock. Whether that was or wasn't an E55 is of no relevance. There are Landcruisers out there that make well over 1000 HP.

Right...but it's still a 6000lb 4X4, with the rolling resistance of a grounded oil tanker, and the drag coefficient of a cement block. 1000hp in that thing would probably be equal to 400hp in a normal car.

850HP Landcruiser would walk any stock e55. Top speed would be a whole different thing - but quartermile e55 would get smashed...

I can't really tell, but the tach doesn't seem to read V8 Kompressor like an E55. Could this be a E500 sport? I can see the low gas light is on, U would think a sheik would have a full tank!

Weight is weight. Let's do some math...

An E55 weighs 3857lbs and has 493hp, for a power to weight ratio of 7.8 lbs per horsepower. By comparison, a Land Cruiser weighs 5690lbs. So, the Land Cruiser would would require 730hp+ just to have the same GROSS power to weight ratio. But that's not all...

Then you have to take into account the variable all time 4-wheel drive system, which with two separate sets of differentials and torque converters no doubt sees somewhere around 35% driveline loss instead of the 18% you get with the E55. Now we're up to the Land Cruiser needing 879hp just to have the SAME whp to weight as the E55. And that's not even including the difference in drag coefficients, which I have no idea how to calculate, but I'm sure there's a big difference there as well.

Watching that video, the Land Cruiser is absolutely walking the W211. To have the results turn out how they were shown in that video, the toyota would need to have at least an additional 100hp over the Benz. So now we're up to the Land Cruiser needing at a MINIMUM 979hp to have any chance at those results, and if someone could figure out how to account for the additional wind resistance added by the Toyota's drag coefficient, I suspect the Toyota would need 1100+hp to achieve that result.

Then there's the big issue here...that the "E55" in the video isn't a 55. It's a 500 or a 320. The performance doesn't match up, the shift points vs. vehicle speed don't match up, the dash doesn't say "Kompressor", and the sound is wrong.

That 300kph video is fake. I doubt they were really going faster than 60mph.

Watch the street lights go by and you will see what I mean...

LOOK OUT, LOOK OUT, There's a thousand horsepower Landcriuser about!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.........I never read so much crap, and I don't trust any
video unless it's carried out by impartial drivers in proper cars.
Better watch out if you have a Veyron an 1800hp Landcriuser is about
to blow you away.

If you look closely you don't see the AMG emblems inside the instrument clusters on the speedometer and the rpm guage this s*** is not no E55. Normal E55 pulling in that gear would of been 100+ plus. I drive one every day.
