2005 E55 AMG
New E55 owner here
Heya,
Been lurking the last few weeks while looking for a nice 04-05 E55 and finally picked up on in No. Cal this weekend. Coming from a modified 07 Subaru STI, I knew power, but this is nuts!
Great power off the line and keeps going and going.
I'll post some pics up when I have her washed (trip through Central Cali = bugs bugs bugs). For now, here are the stats:
2005 E55 AMG in Brilliant Silver (I think Designo edition)
49,680 miles
Options that I know of (still learning):
1. Heated/vented/massage/dynamic seats
2. Navigation
3. 6-disc CD changer
4. Parking assist
5. Rear and side window shades
6. Rear trunk closer
7. Bi-Xenon lights
Since I got it used, I noticed a few things needing work:
1. Alignment--goes straight, but the steering wheel is off a bit
2. Entry MB badges at the bottom of the door--two of them light-up, two do not
I was lucky enough to have a week left on the warranty, so I had MB of Walnut Creek check it out completely before going ahead with the purchase. All work was performed there, so they were able to show me that all service was performed on-time, every time. They did the following things before turning it back over:
1. Replaced the AC condensor
2. Fixed a small link in the 13-pin connector on the transmission (replaced the gasket while there were there and re-filled the fluid)
3. Fixed a scuffed rim (my cost, not under warranty)
All in all, I think I got a decent vehicle for the low $30s. Next for me is an extended warranty and some good times driving care-free with my new ride.
