T faster than sedan?

A few years ago C/D got better results for the E55 T than the sedan:

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...take_road_test

E55 T:
0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds; the quarter-mile in 12.5 at 114 mph; and 0 to 150 in 24 flat.
E55:
0 to 60 in 4.3 seconds, 0 to 100 in 9.9, 0 to 150 in 24.5, and the quarter in 12.5 seconds at 116 mph

They said:

"The explanation lies within better weight distribution, which in turn results in a more efficient launch. The wagon carries 51 percent of its curb weight over the rear wheels, whereas the sedan burdens its hind legs with just 47 percent. Simply put, the wagon's rear-driven 265/35R-18 Continentals are able to hook up like two college freshmen, thrusting the "estate" off into the sunset with ungodly authority. The wagon bettered the sedan's 70-to-0 braking—from 173 feet to 171—as well as its skidpad performance, which jumped from 0.83 g to 0.85."

Finally now I found info on the C63 wagon from Auto Motor und Sport, below are results for the sedan and other competition from the same mag. Impressive in my opinnion and similar than was seen in this DR video:

http://www.drivers-republic.com/dr_t...&area=features

It seems that the wagons are beating the sedans on paper! What is the situation in the real world, any idea? They say the

Sorry for the long post, but I should still think weight would make the sedan faster?

I think at those power levels 300whp+ that traction & launch plays more an important role than anything. Its like that all supra mkiv joke: What does a 400hp 500hp and 600hp supra have in common? they all run 12s. or 11s.. i dont remember lol

It really is true. Everything old is new again.

Same thing the guys in the 60's discovered. Weight over the rear wheels equals.......

I <3

I love the wagons and avants, I would have gone E63 Wagon if it came P30,
I would have done RS6plus if it (or reg RS6) was in the US, Audi Avants are the ultimate...
oh sexy RS6 avant. RS4 avant also supper sexy <3

+1...If you want even more rear wheel bias (i.e. more rear weight distribution) I hear that CCW makes "skinnies" for the drag...front wheels that are lighter and skinnier than stock to save weight up front...supposedly about 35-40lbs each front rim...
