lowering a W211 E55
hi guys.
i am looking at 06 E55's. some ive seen (mostly online) have a nice ride height, whereas some look like they've been jacked up like 2-3 inches. i had this problem with my current W202 C43 ... it was too high stock, but i didnt want it slammed, so i installed the "eurospec" spring, which snugged it up, without completely dropping the chassis to the ground. i would like to do the same to the E.
any suggestions as to brand of spring and how the ride quality is? also, has anyone that has lowered their E experienced any warranty claim issues at the stealership?
thanks!

My S/A tells me to raise my car everytime I pull onto his lot. That way there's no questions asked. I have had no problems otherwise with warranty items being replaced. W211 has air suspension, and is adjusted electronically. I have the H & R Lowering module, same used by Renntech/Kleeman, which are for the most part not easily adjustable. There are some newer models out that have adjustable dials for height. The H&R is installed under the passenger floorboard, making adjustments nearly impossible! Hope this helps.....

Do you, or anyone else that is lowered for that matter, have a warranty?
I ask b/c I am seriously considering lowering via STAR but I have the extended MB warranty and I'm not sure what I would have to do before taking it to the dealer if airmatic were to go out, again

If you want to play it safe just raise the car up. Let me know if you want the star done in the OC area.
