Custom Audio Question
What is a three way? I don't know crap about audio, but had mine done at REUS Audio for WAAAYY cheaper than the suckers pay at the dealerships and it has center channels. Does that count?
i have focal poly 165 vr3 3 ways in my z06 and they sound really good with a zapco 4100...in E55 i have focal k2p 2 ways in all 4 doors powered by 2 arc audio ks 300.2 . without a doubt the k2p's sound absolutely amazing in e55. i like them far more than the 3 ways. they play very loud, clear and with great imaging. I also have 2 jl10w6 's in the trunk powered by arc audio ks1000.1 i added a equalizer in the glove box and it's easily the best system i have had in any car.
forgot my tweets are in the a pillars and the woofer is in the doors. i removed the rear deck sub and speakers, left the others in place. once you pick up a focal k2p you will know why they are incredible.

The dealer is not a good source for anything but auto repair.
3 way setup is a 6 speaker set- 3 speakers on each side- woofer, mid, tweeter
Not sure how much a difference a 3 way set will make- Boston did away with them a while back- traditional 2 ways can cost up to $6k plus (Rainbow, etc.)
You can stick the mids into the kickpanel without a lot of mod- seen a set of Dynaudios like that.

I have the Focal 165K2P & 165KF powered by a JL Audio 450/4 & 2 12W6 Subs with a JL 1000/1. The sound quility of the Focal speakers is amazing and the play loud & clean enough to make your ears bleed. IMO they are worth every penny, plus they drop right in to the factory locations with minimal work. You don't have to spend a fortune or do a ton of custom work to get real good sound in these cars.
Maybe you have seen AMGfan's thread to see the opposite end of the custom spectrum.
