my neighbors in our building did this same thing in our building's garage. put it on both their clk55 and 335. great idea to keep negligent neighbors from dinging you when getting out of their cars but also is a kind of slap in the face as if you don't trust you car neighbors! LOL!

Would be a great idea for walls in tight garages, but who would ever put one of those on their cars?

Had one, worked fine
When I lived in downtown Chicago I would put that on my bimmer in the parking garage of my condo to protect it from dings from my careless neighbor.
It worked well and I only put it on obviously when it was parked. I did not care what it looked like and nobody ever took it. Today I have it mounted on my garage wall to protect my car from me when I am careless (since San Diego garages are so damn small).
Note: Do not put it on the car if it is dirty since you risk scratching the paint.
