My -04 uses absolutely no oil. My M5's used to take about 1l/ 2000km.

I've never had to add any oil between changes...I change it every 5-6K miles.

Never had to add any oil between changes. I'd check the oil with an actual dipstick instead of checking the computer. It's been proven to be incorrect. Also you can see what the oil looks like, which is a +

So that means it't no problem to drive the e55 with out full engine oil? will this affect the performance?

No!!!!
The things that an engine needs is cooling, lubrication, air and gas. You definately should keep the engine oil level ok! I just said mine doesnt use up that much oil and to me it sounds strange. Even if you have a problem, please add enough oil. Too much is harmful also, but driving without adequate amounts of oil will kill the engine!!!!
