G1zm0, WRONG!

We yanks don't speculate the price of Mecedes in France so don't do it here. Your prices quotes are all incorrect for the US market. The RS6 will be fully loaded her around $85k. It is obvious that you have not read all the "AMERICAN" Automotive Sources concerning prices or you would not have made such a blunder. Thanks for the wrong answers!

I'm giving you the Europeen price just so u can get an idea.
The E500 starts at $55, 570 in the US while in europe $65, 800
If the E55 costs $98, 200 in Europe I'm guessin the price would be around $ 88k. I obviously don't care about American automotive sources, or the US market I'm just trying to help some ppl that obviously need to be educated. An RS6 fully loaded for 85K ? that's pretty cheap, I wish I could get a link to your source

Gizmo, If you don't care - why commit?

We have been over this before - Previously someone outside of the US tried to tell Americans the price of 'our' cars based on what they sell there. The prices do not compare and the dollar exchange abouts are not a good source to compare.

In Australia a W211 E55 base price is $219k in Aussie dollars and that equals $128k US dollars. Our most expensive Mercedes model is below that, $125k for the 2003 CL600.

Also, most coutries outside the US often include tax in the price while the US listed prices do not include taxes.

You want a link to my source - "www . America Rules. com"

(But don't get me wrong about my 'USA rules' attitude - I think George W. Bush is a stupid cowboy.

Hey Poch, what if the base price of the W211 E55 is $74k? Would you still pass?

Of course you would have to order it at MSRP and wait up to 2 years.

I speculate that the W211 E55 base will be just under or the same as the base of the S430 ($73,320) and that will not include:

HID Xenon $1,150
Comand Nav - $2,125 (CD) or $2,450 (DVD)
Rear Sunshade $440

2 years wait?!?!?!?!
I don't know if 74k will do, it probably will, but I'd need to see what the basic will have.
Although in 2 years I can save plenty of money towards the downpayment.

Personally, I will not consider the W211 E55 until after the mid-model upgrades (2006 models) and the direct-injection engines (2005 models).
