Mexico runs- New vids page 2: M6, M5, 63's, 55's, 997's
Yesterday, a few of us went to the outskirt of Mexico to have some friendly runs. In attendance were Vic55 (M6), Max.H (stock E55), W211 BEAST (E55), sterlingc1975(E63), vegastrashed (E63), MyMBonline's Vadim; not to be confused with Vadim from VRP (997 CS), Blue Monster (cameraman), M5board's keang24 (RPI M5) and amedali (Dinan M5).
The only videos I have are of my E63 vs E63, 997 CS, and Dinan M5. Vic, if you want your vids, you'll have to get them Blue Monster.![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

he didnt jump away from me either right out of the gate, but he was able to pull away from me by a solid 2 car lengths up top. that gearing is amazing though. I notice the m5 guys like to keep going after the race is over. i guess having all that top end must be an addiction. ![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)

I've talked about this with a few people, but it seems to me that when I'm doing the honking my reaction time is slower. Isn't that counter intuitive? The honker knows when the third honk is coming so should have the jump, but I end up waiting after the third honk to stomp on the throttle but my opponent has gone as soon as the third honk is heard thereby I'm already behind. You can see that with the white E63 and Dinan M5. Against the 997S, Vadim did the honking.

i hear what you are saying joe. try not to think about it too much and just nail the gas as you begin to press the horn the 3rd time. no reaction. just boot it simultaneously. life is only as difficult as you make it.

Hmmmmm,
Odd that the white 63 got the jump and seemingly was ahead then you pulled him? His car must be heavier? I ask because most runs 63vs 63 whatever car jumps stays in front unless one is modded? So why did your 63 reel in the other 63? Also why are you rolling up and down the window

There was another camerman for the Dinan M5 vs. my M6 vid ...
Race 1: Slight jump to him and then I pulled to within 1/4 car
Race 2: I pulled him, he shifted early and never caught up
Race 3: I was slightly ahead and a truck was in his lane so he had to chill
Race 4: I pulled him about 1/2 to 3/4 car length
A very even race between his car and mine- He is more modded than I am with 3.91 gears and full Dinan Stage II and light 18 or 19 inch wheels. I was very happy with my runs and results.
