He was asking $18K and got $17K for it...the car looked and ran like a 20K mile car..he was in sales so he drove it many miles per day!!

WOW! That is amazing, but also reassuring for the durability of this car.

AWESOME! Love to see somebody not scared to use theirs as a daily commuter as I do! I almost at 110k. What major problems have you experienced, and at what mileage?

At 145,xxx I had the rear airmatic creating problems for me.....went ahead and did the coilover conversion. Changed out the torque converter at 137,xxx miles. Aside from that no problems and can't remember prior to 100,xxx miles ago.

Interesting, did your torque converter completely go at 137k, or just start slipping? I wonder what out stall speed is.

Only reason I'm so interested is because I plan on driving mine for as long as I can. Why sell mine for 18-19k at 110k, when I can get 15k around 140-150k miles? Especially if I don't come across any problems!

The torque converter was slipping a lot so the change was necessary. Other than that I would check the shocks to see if its leaking. My rear was completely shot and was leaking a grip. Aside from that these cars are pretty much bullet proof.

I am looking at an 03 with 130k miles.

Other than airmatic, they seem bulletproof.

37200 Kms(23115 mls) performance package(030) from factory, did a software upgrade, exhaust & pulley. AMG Approved.

This car is looney tunes fast, she rides like a dream, one of my favourite AMG's ever.
