good luck
good luck on the sale but boy you are you going to lose your shirt. These cars are pretty much worthless right when you drive off the lot plus MB usa has some nice financing specials
it takes a good 3-4 years before the car stops losing its value at such an acceralted rate

On the Black Series?
Please provide details.
Pure conjecture since he's talking about a 1 year old Black Series. I'd be surprised if the same AMG depreciation curve applies.

This is not a black series the color combo is black on black. The car has every option you can get other than the performance package which has different wheels and allows a higher top speed. There is nothing suspicous about the car I ordered an Audi R8 that I thought was coming in this Jan but the car got here last week so I need to make room. The car is perfect.

I dont have pics handy but in terms of price I will sell to the first person willing to pay 70k or who is closest to that number. Best offer so far is 66k. Thanks PM me if interested.

wow
wow you must have a alot of money to let it go for 70K already. this car must of had a sticker of atleast 96K.
You figure a if you are lucky a 10% discount brings you down to 87K, losing 17K in a month seems pretty harsh,

That car has 3k miles on it. It's priced at $94k "Buy It Now", which means it will prolly go for less. This was $150k out the door 8 months ago. It's already lost a full 1/3rd of its value and it hasn't even been a full year yet. I hate to break it to you man, but everybody is getting creamed in this market, regardless of whether it's a Black Series or not.

Its a buyers market TODAY, but dont expect it to last long. Prices will stabilize and some will go back up. All the BENZ cars that were priced well over $100k have always depreciated poorly. The cars that were a little under $100k seem to take a lot less of a hit. Like the saying goes, you pay to play.....

I just think its funny how people think any AMG car will hold its value. Sadly they dont. I have had plenty of them and I think I will slow down the cash loss buy just keeping them a bit longer.
Standard depreciation curves apply.

I would treat any AMG like ones wife (when considering seperation/divorce/tradein etc):
Its cheaper to keep her....

Maybe a slower rate of decline for the BS? Maybe?
Apologies to the OP for my poor reading skills, you clearly stated E63.

I would have jumped at the $66k if you are that inclined to sell the car. Dealers are discounting the 2009 cars $15K + right now. You have a lot of things working against you, one is the above mentioned dealer discounts, but this is also the end of the run for the W211 body which always weakens demand and crushes resale value of ANY car.
