I am looking for a Evosport or Vrp type set where the exhuast can stay stock and unmodified with headers that will bolt right up to the stock system.
Will I need an ecu tune to have the car perform with no problems after the header install. My car is stock for now. What ype of HP and TQ increase will I see with your headers
Thanks

These are NOT bolt-on. The require the factory primary catalyst to be cut out, and it is replaced with a supplied down pipe- you loose your primary cats. If you're looking for a true bolt-on header, these are not it. Headers will add (conservatively) between 30 and 40 HP at the crank, depending on what other mods are on your car. ECU tuning is highly recommended to take full advantage of the headers, but not mandatory. Thanks!
Im looking for headers now and am very interested. Are these direct replacements for the stock manifolds or do they need modifying to have them fit? Can the cats stay in place or do they have to be removed?

headers and downpipe for $1500. That is highway robery for how cheap it is.
btw, will this modification void a warranty? Sorry, I don't know a lot about about Mercedes and warranty on them.

This depends entirely on your local dealer, and the relationship you have with them. Some dealers are perfectly fine honoring the factory warranty if they see headers, some will red-flag the car immediately. I'm afraid there is no definitive answer on this one- speak with your service manager. It can be argued that headers are actually safer for the engine since EGT's and back-pressure is reduced over the stock manifolds.

There are a set of O2 sensors behind the primary cats, whose sole purpose in life is making sure the primary cats are operating properly. When the primary cats are removed, the secondary O2 sensors will know, since the signal will be "too large", and it will set a CEL within 90 miles of the headers being installed. We can easily take care of this with ECU programming which will also take full advantage of the headers with improved timing maps, fuel maps, etc. ECU tuning is $1000. You can also opt to install a set of our high-flow cats (200 cell) which are $380 per pair. Emissions compliance depends a lot on the state you're in- some states are very easy to pass in, others are very difficult to get cars to pass. KLEEMANN headers are not CARB approved.

I can't really comment on the sound with out cats... but even with them it gives the car a little more throaty sound... not like the C63 but it still sounds Strong and Classy...
I've been getting a lot of questions concerning the cars ability to pass inspection with our headers and the lack of primary catalysts. If I were able to say I can guarantee you will not have a check engine light, and your car will still pass your state inspection by including an ECU program at no charge, will those of you who are skeptical about our headers have a change of heart? Just looking for some constructive feedback here, as it seems the #1 concern is the cars ability to pass inspection and not having a check engine light. Any and all feedback is appreciated!

Right now my Kleemann tuned (ECU) is the ONLY program that will pass emissions. All others that I have will not.
Not sure how he is doing it, but Cory's program makes my O2 sensors go green (ready state).
All others keep my O2's in the red and car will not pass emissions.
Can't comment on the headers without the ECU tune. Never did that before.

Cory that is a great and very generous offer of ECU Tune for free!!! Makes the deal even sweeter and tells you about Kleemann EXCELLENT customer service!!! Just a question - Do we have to tell you what other mods we currently have or planning to add or does the tune only fix the possible dreaded CEL due to lack of primary cats??? All the best, Joseph

If we get a good response, and decide to make that offer available (it's only hypothetic right now), the programming will be only to eliminate the check engine light while retaining emissions compliance. The changes made will not change, or erase your current ECU tuning should you have a program from a different company.

I am getting the LET tune/pulley and would prefer not to have to relocate the secondary O2's to solve the C/E light problem.
Ordering them now with Lacy
Thanks again
Tom
