You have a 4000lb vehicle. Why gut it to gain a couple tenths. My suggestion is to make more hp. Put the weight-saving money in your engine instead. You may see bigger gains.

Might be easier to just buy one of these new ready made track cars. 37 grand for this model and Ford mustang has one for 70 grand. No AC, seats, No VIn, Plexiglass windows etc. etc. YEs, right from the factory and ready for the track only.. Low 10`s has already been tested with 9`s once the limitor has been removed. Hmmm, no wonder US car MFG`s are in trouble..![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I am not going to gut it by any means, it wouldn't be a Benz then. I am nearing the end of the performance lifecycle with my car given all the junk I have done to it and always looking for more performance...

I'd say any weight you can save in the front of the car is worth more than the weight at the back ... given traction and balance the car has at mom...
Wheels / rotors very good start.
Not much realy to be done in the engine bay? Perhaps primary cats only - but thats already quite extreme.
Battery at the back , would be interesting to see the traction vs weight penalty trade off here... handling will also be interesting E55's tend to push into a corner and get loose on exit .. too much weight up front and too much power out the back. Mbe trade a Quaife for a lighter battery will help here.
When I was installing my CM90 and pulled off the panels on the front of the car I could not believe how light some of them were... scary light.
