Flywheel Dyno Testing Results (Hyper power Dyno)
Stock E55 with Johnson 30 pump and temperature fan mod. This is an extremely accurate flywheel dyno that even motor trend used to test some of their test cars.
The manufacture of this dyno has tested other stock E55s, with results that were within 1% of the manufacture claimed horsepower and tq....

Looked at their site before posting…when they quoted flywheel horsepower, I was kinda thinking it had been measured at the flywheel. No worries…

This one was tested the same day. It is bone stock. I suspect that the factory were using IAT to test thier engine and I took the IAT reading from the OBD II reading. The factory rating is 469hp/515lb-ft torque. This car was tested with the result ~1%of the factory claim. I guess the factory didn't lied but their testing method using IAT was kind of different.
The dyno achieved the engine corrected reading by actually measure the coast down. Our dyno is made in South Africa and is used by many of the car manufacturers there. These manufacturers even did an independent test to verified our number to the engine dyno before using it on a regular basis.
