New E55 Owner, Hi!
Hey, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm now an owner of a 2005 E55 AMG! I love the car, it's luxury and power in 1 package, a much more sleeper car than my other car the Evo 9. I'm a gadgets kind of guy, so I love all the little things about the benz that you don't get in other cars. Here's a pic!

Thanks for the welcome all ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
To be honest, I'm not sure what would be the first mod. My first MB, so I don't really know a whole lot about modding engine/audio etc... Still getting used to the car. I can't really feel the speed like I used to in the Evo, but I know i'm definitely moving faster since I'm hitting 60mph like it was 40mph.
I have been looking into getting an ipod kit and an iphone 3g integration kit. The latter though seems so confusing since it differs by what you have in the car pre-wired and what year it is etc.

Why is the W211 Board the Most Active?
I'm a member of W211, W209 and R230 boards. When compared to the other boards this is clearly the most active. Although there are active members who post on the other boards they appear to few in numbers. Is this due to the larger number of W211's vs. the other two or, is there just more interest and enthusiasm here than elsewhere? Just wondering.

Welcome Driftmon...search is your friend with regard to specific questions on modding (engine/audio/aesthetic). Since the W211 AMG has been around now almost 5 years there really is not much that has not been tried or asked about in previous threads.
With that said...ask away. We can be a crochety bunch but when we see a member truly in need of help/advice we have bunch of informative and supportive members.
Peace.

Thanks again for the welcome :0
Thanks for the heads up AMGfan! Yeh I've been searching a lot on what to do next. Still undecided; I just love taking her out for a cruise as it is! The power is probably enough for the road, but the modder in me wants more.
aleksandar1099: My Evo isn't stock, i've changed the dp, catback exhaust, boost controller and a tune and it should be around 290-300 at the wheels although that's only speculation from the tuner as I haven't had a chance to dyno it yet (road tune). It is fun, I love chucking it around; so much grip, but with such a short gearing when your on the throttle, you are constantly changing gears. I'm still learning about the E55, but I definitely can't chuck it around like I used to on the Evo, I have to slow my motions and be smoother with feeding steering/throttle. With that though, the E55 handles very well on the road for a big car!
4ociousE55: I'd say there would be more people who own a W211 now? But I'm only going to guess.

Congrats and welcome, from the Midwest... Seems like you Cali folks are all over the AMG market. I've gotta find some enthusiasts out here to run with...
Congrats, again!
