*** VR600 Drag Results @ GLD !!! ***
12.052 @ 125.75mph!!!
2.076 60ft w/ street tires (Kumho Ecsta SPT)
First I'd like to thank Vadim @ VRP for all the help and answers to any question I had. Some may remember the problems I had after installing an ASP pulley, Green Filters, and Code3 HE resulting in an 8mph loss. Stock I ran 118mph and after those mods a 110mph. After speaking with Vadim over the phone and him telling me that I had the torque limiting software which pulled timing, bled boost, and dumped fuel, I decided to go with his VR600 package. Since I already had the ASP pulley, I only got his dme tune, 80mm tb, and shorty headers.
To say I am ecstatic is an understatement
. I could have had the fastest non-NOS E55 if it weren't for e55baller running his 126.6 yesterday at MIR
...congrats baller. But, I think I can say I have the fastest street-legal, no cam, non-NOS E55...street-legal because I still have the stock exhaust w/ primary and secondary cats and no cutouts
...I do though have my resonators removed.
Video coming soon...track was very slippery as you'll see from the video of my run as my cousin ran his viper right after me and spun out.

Here's the video. Click on "watch in high quality" of course. Watch that viper spin :P.
There was also a c6 z06 running 122 mph. My cousin's viper ran a 120mph.

That was amazing!
Great driving by both participants not to slam into the wall or eachother.
great run , further proof that moderate 60ft times aide trap speeds

Nice trap speeds Rberga, 125 is really moving. I also have the VR600 and as soon as I get my cooling mods done I'll also be hitting the tracks. Out of curiosity what did the Z06 hit in the 1/4 mile?
Juicee63 - You mentioned moderate 60' times aide trap speeds, how's is this? I'm just curious because I haven't been around the tracks all that often and I'm still lurking and learning here on MBworld. I would think that if he improved his 60' time his trap speed should also improve? I would also think hitting trap speeds above 120 should be good for at least high 11's.

It is hard to plan this so the best strategy is just to rip off the cleanest run you can. Most of the time your car will trap similar while your ET will vary alot based on the 60ft.
This 125 mph trap simply shows the car is making tremendous HP and with a better 60ft time this car could go much quicker.
My car has gone nearly 12.05 (12.09) but I have never been over 117 mph trap. The 125trap is insane, this driver needs to put the power down more cleanly to generate mid to low 11's

Hmm interesting theory...I thought that too but my slips beg to differ. I ran a 121mph with a 2.43 60ft, a 123mph with a 2.15 60ft, and then that 125mph with a 2.07 60ft. My traps seem to improve

The problem on my 121 and 123 runs was that the traction control kicked in bad and pretty much bogged the car down. On the 125 run it kicked in just a little bit. Maybe time for drag radials and put the car in dyno-mode.
I made a back to back run right after that and ran a 122 but my wheels were wobbling crazy down the track...I checked the wheels afterwards and all my wheel weights on each rim fell off on the 125 run! Thats when I called it a day and headed home.

Very nice runs!!! Almost 126mph means your car is making some serious power!
I am glad you are enjoying the car.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Congrats Rodney. Yesterday was the last track day of the year. I tried to make it out 3 times this month but they wound up closing the track. I couldn't do it this weekend, unfortunately - looks like it would have been a good day to go.

Thanks guys!
Yeah Marcus I tried for the past 2 weeks also, but this time it was open since forecasts showed 46deg and sunny.
When I finally got all things installed it was a night and day difference. At first I only had the ecu installed but really couldn't notice the difference because it was tuned for the headers and tb. A few weeks later, I installed the shorty headers and it felt a little better but nothing that noticeable. The following week I installed the 80mm TB....NOW! I can finally notice from my butt dyno...everything just seemed to be in sync and was putting power down!

Just watched the video... GLD is not the stickiest track around and with 40F temps you got as good of a 60' on a street tire as I think was going to be possible.
What was up with your cousin's Viper? It sounded like he hit the rev limiter which unloaded his suspension and caused him to spin. Cold tires and cold tracks can make for scary scenarios!

He just wasn't doing a good enough of a burnout before his runs. I told him to light em up and hold the brakes, but he just did a small burnout up to staging.
I tried to make sure that I followed a full slick hotrod so that I would have some of his rubber that he laid down as traction...not sure if it truly works but I think it helps.

nice!
i'm not surprised that you lost hp without the tuning in the first place. I drove the car without tuning for over 2 years.. its night and day.
ASP provide more boost than most pullies, with headers and TB and a good HE... its a good combo.
For me, the headers would be the next option.

Thanks TopGun...I ordered the Code3 HE because you were the first to test the Code3 HE with great results about this time a year ago. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Wow over 2 yrs without a tune...I couldn't handle running slower than stock with the ASP pulley. I would have just put the stock pulley back on or gotten the tune right away
.

but as soon as I had my IAT's under control.. it was clear that I was bleeding boost, specially top end.
trust me.. I wanted to go back since last year... but I was waiting to get tuning at a lower cost and ability to flash with just a laptop.
... it has been a painful 12 months knowing I was not running even to stock level.
lessons learned...!

The 1st year.. I did not know any better. I refused to believe I needed a tune.. (since my c32 did not need one)

great times rberga, getting that kind of traction with that kind of power in 46 deg weather is just nutty! and GLD was never the best track for good runs.
and my experience, definitely lower 60' = higher traps. but if there has been variations from that, it might be due to some variations in supercharger performance, imo.

Thanks delobbo ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I also forgot to mention that there was another silver E55 there. Anyone on this board? We parked next to each but didn't get to talk much about our cars as we only talked about my cousin's viper spinning.
