"RECAP of TODAYS EVENT"
At ATCO today we had 9 cars and 9 cars from the other group of mostly Z06 Corvette's.
Everyone today was very nice and helpful from both groups.
The track was perfect as most all hooked-up well..
The weather was OK, but not a record setting day.
Felt bad for Mike's SL breaking his axel as I think the car will go faster.
My car was #33 and I made a total of 33 runs today.
At times I was doing 3 to 5 back to back runs at a time
Gotta love the difference of doing a track rental.
My Best Numbers for Today:
5 Best R/T's was .017 .024 .065 .068 .167
5 Best 60' was 1.767 .769 .770 .771 .772
5 Best 1/8 ET was 7.577 .578 .582 .593 .593
5 Best 1/8 MPH was 94.03, 93.94 .85 .81 .80
5 Best 1/4 ET was 11.741 .752 .758 .759 .759
5 Best 1/4 MPH was 120.67 .37 .37, 119.59 .17
Now I just got to get all that rubber out of the rear wheel wells.

BMWSOB = And he has the ***** to stay in it when the thing is swaying all over the track!
Thanks. That last launch felt REALLY good. Maybe even a 1.4x 60'
Nice pics! I laughed when I saw the second one. How often do you see benz and BMW owners working on their cars at the track? LOL

I had SO much fun at the track today! I had a few problems but had fun anyway.
Finally got the CCW's mounted up thanks to Curts 15mm spacers. MAN do these things HOOK! I wasn't launching it very hard and was still running consistent 1.5x 60's I tried to go out and launch it hard once to run a 10.x and an axle snapped. Luckily I had two spares since I was 3.5hrs away from home.
Thank you all for helping me with my broken axle, what a pain! I really appreciate all the help.
CONGRATS to Donovan aka BMWSOB for being the fastest BMW in the states! 9.8 And he has alot more left in it. Best part is he is the coolest, most down to earth person you would ever meet!
mertd93 would have easily gone 11's with a decent 60'
pedalpusher- Nice runs! I can't thank you enough for the help.
BlackonBlackCLK- Thanks for the spacers and the help with the axle!
MachC5- GREAT event! Nice cars, and thanks for having me. Nice to meet you as well.
mthis- Nice runs! Thanks for getting me the slips sometimes.
Solerno713- Nice to meet you and nice car!
Tuningtehnician- Good to see you again and thanks for the light

Ahmad , awesome man.
diregard my PS2 comment, What did the C63 do?
That BMW is sik sik sik..
I have seen some prior vid of the 140 traps etc..
Mach looks like your really getting the hang of this , great R/T and 60ft times, also you now own the record solely of a stock pass in a 63. Down at 11.7? WOW!!! Trap speed is way up too since your last time out? Is your car still stock?
Have a great weekend fellas, you guys KICKED ARSH

Touche on the bag of ice under the hood all the time, though I'd like to try it... But we both know how much there is in a cool motor. You'll never run a record hotlapping. Though you're still the quickest/fastest CLK 63 BS by far w/out full exhaust and pulley.

What was the average of the runs you did in March vs this time? I thought in the March event, you ran mostly 12.0 to 12.10s until later in the event where you dipped into the 11s.
Your car is running very consistently, I wish mine would do the same after 33 runs

What was the DA at Atco on Friday vs the DA at MIR last Saturday? I notice Ahmad was about 2/10th of his pace from a week ago, even with better rubber underneath and astonishing 60 ft's. I'm not much for coulda, shoulda woulda, but it got me thinking how fast MachC5 would have gone at MIR a week earlier. 10.7's is pretty darn quick for a car with stock headers, exhaust and intake on street tires.
Great run!

I dunno the DA at either event. I heard the DA at MIR was -2000 or so. I was not off my pace by 2/10ths. 11.09 at MIR vs. 11.15 at ATCO. I'm sure the DA at MIR was better though. Yea 11.7 is pretty damn good! I'm pretty sure he was on drag radials but I guess they are technically street tires, so are the et street radials.

Thats ok. Yea it sucked, but I had two spares and changed it at the track. Honestly I dont track my car enough to justify a trailer and something to pull it. If I am at a local track I can always just call a friend to bring a trailer if I cant fix it myself. I went to ATCO because Curt told me he had a trailer that he could use if my car broke. Luckily, with alot of peoples help I was able to change the axle at the track.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
A "better late than never" thanks to MACHC5 for the track rental Friday! It was great to meet everyone and see some great runs!
Ahmad- It was a pleasure helping you. I used to be pretty decent with a set of tools years ago...
FYI- I got back from ATCO very late last night. I stayed near the track after Friday's track rental and met up with some friends for yesterdays test and tune.
With a cool engine and good track prep yesterday morning I ran my best time to date:
11.715 @ 121.00 mph at 10:56 AM; 1.791 60'
(Careful Jayson, I only need another "1 second" and I'll be a threat to your CL600 record!)
(My best at the rental Friday was):
11.783 @ 120.34 at 4:09 PM; 1.818 60'
'08 CL600 - MT Drag Radials and RENNTech ECU.
This is the most fun I have had in a car in many years !! (...alone that is )
Life is good when you can buy a 5,000 LB German Tank that goes 11.7's and returns 21.1 MPG to and from the track.

That car of your is so black & beautiful, but is also Soo.. big and heavy.
If you get it outta hole a little better, without breaking something I think your an 11.6 ride.
Most impressive for your 2 1/2 tons of iron, being the Corvette's on Friday turning those same times are only 1 1/2 tons.
Many Congrads on the new personal best on Saturday.
And Jim, (JRcart) I had on a set of stock width 285-35-18 NITTO Drag Radials on 26 lbs CL55 rims set to 35 lbs of air pressure. (need 17 lbs rims)
My old 285-30-19 stock CORSA's which I ran at 44 lbs, got hard as hell from all the runs I made last March. (heat cycling)

CLK63 Black, E350 Wagon, Supercharged Denali, Lotus Elise, Tesla Model 3 Dual-Motor.
Hey Guys,
Found a video made by the Corvette group that shared the track with us on Friday.
Check out the black Corvette that ran 10.1's at 134 mph, this is the other 60' 1.5x car I told you guys about that leaves like Ahmad's CLK55.
And on one run you'll see me in the left lane getting a driving lesson from that same black Corvette.
There's also a red Camaro doing a 1.4 60' time and pulling the wheels on his way to a 9 sec pass..
At the end of the video is my CLK63 BS and the crazy fast BMW doing a 10.xx sec pass.
Does it look like my car stumbles outta hole on the video.?
