December ATCO Track Rental, Like last yr.
The Date of this Friday November 28th has become available for up to 10 cars.
Somebody else cancelled and we're taking it. Besides it's a Holiday (Black Friday)
Time of event 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Cost is $200. and you pay at the gate.
Starting a list here as who's showing up:
1. MachC5, Jim - CLK63 Black Series, 11.xx something, I hope.
2. mthis - 2008 C63 with mhp ecu/tcu
3. enzom - 2005 E55 that's stock and runs in the 11's
4. PedalPusher - 2008 CL600
5. Salerno713 - 2008 S63
6. BlackOnBlackCLK

Your Last Chance to get in on an ATCO private track rental this year...
I called ATCO this morning and their recording says they have a few December rentals available.
At last years December meet this is where the 55's & 63's started breaking into the 11's.
I'm waiting to hear back from the track as to what days they still have open.
Track rental is $2K for 10 or $3K for 15 cars.
So, rental will be for either 10 or 15 cars only.
"Helmets with a Snell 2005 rating are required."
Because of Track rental limitations on # of cars, a prepayment of $200 in advance will secure you a spot.

With the same rules last year we had a Z06 go low 11's and an Mitsubishi EVO go 10's at 140+ MPH with no cages and nobody was asked to leave.
But with that being said, being a stupid ***.. will get you kicked out.

What is the date? I will be there if Ahmad is gonna be there. I can't do it December 6th or 7th, going road racing in Texas. Ahmad are you up for a money race? Confident you really have the faster car? $10,000?, $20,000?, name your price but make it worth my while to justify the 14 hour drive. Get your boys to back you, they seem confident enough.

MachC5 is nice enough to try to put together a rental. Having done it myself twice, I know what a pain it is. If this is going to devolve into a pissing match over MIR, I have a feeling there will be no Atco rental. How about chilling for a bit and letting Jim (MachC5) get back to us.

I would have liked to have attended, but there is no way I can make it the morning after thanksgiving, It's easily a 14 hour drive in my hauler and there is no way I can skip out on the fam the night of Thanksgiving.

We'll most likely do (2) spring dates in March/April 2009.
(1) at ATCO Dragway and (1) at New Jersey Motorsports Park's 2 mile road course.

MACHC5, Thanks for the effort in setting up a rental in such short notice but I can't make it. The Friday after Thanksgiving is one of my busiest days of the year. With college kids home for the weekend and all the Thanksgiving Day emergencies, I am usually in the offfice well past my 2:00pm end time. I just hate missing a rental in my own backyard. Enjoy.

MACH, I PM'd you before about a couple other cars comming. S600, Corvette, 911 Turbo, and Ill most likely bring my M6 since I just had the MHP tune done and want to see how that goes.
