Every thing is a go, we have about 10 guys that are a go, plus the track contacted me and asked if a few guys from the local C6 Vette club could join us, nobody here had a problem with that so I said sure. The date is Jan 24th 10:00am-5:00pm. I need a final head count for the track one week prior. You can just pay at the gate.

 

Not trying to cause any confusion here, but according to the Vette forum they already have ~15 people confirmed....and they're in the process of trying to get local sponsors to show and have a local tuner bringing some of their rides. This could turn out to be a zoo if we aren't careful.

 

i don't mind more cars...just no junk!...also if 25-30 cars show up the price should go down...the track charges $350 per car for 3 cars...10 cars the price goes to $300...with more than 20 cars price should go way down. just my $.02 worth!

Thanks for the heads up, I am going to call ol' boy Seth and get this cleared up right away. 15 is too many, especially if we have 10-15 guys attending. I was told 6-7 Corvette C6's. I am going to enjoy beating up on those Vettes with my MB though....and I talked to Marko, he is most likely attending, I wonder if any of those vette guys have ever seen an MB go mid 10's?

BTW, what board is this being posted on?

 

They actually charge $1000 for the first 1-3 cars, so if 3 cars show it costs $333.00 per car, two cars show it's $500 per car and then they charge $350 for each additional car.

 

I just spoke with Seth at Houston Raceway Park. He says the Corvette guys have not even given him a credit card yet to secure their spot. At this point the only people that will be at the track is us. He also assured me that if they do call him to confirm with a credit card he would let them no that he will not allow 15 of them to participate. I told him I did not have a problem if 10 of them showed up, but any more than 10 I/we would not be happy.

I will keep you guys posted on this event. This event is a go for us MB World guys, I have already secured the date and he has charged my credit card.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let some of you local guys know I will be attending the HRP test & tune next Friday Jan. 9th with my Black Series in an attempt to go 10's. Let me know if any of you guys are planning on attending.

I was originally supposed to be shipping the car to Vegas for a test & tune out there but then I found out about the Houston t & t and I know Houston is really fast this time of year so I am going to give it a shot and then ship my car to Vegas Friday night after I'm done running.

 

You might want to verify with HRP that they're open this Friday. Their calendar says they're closed until Jan 16th- which is consistent with previous years. I've been patiently waiting for them to open........let me know what you find out as I plan on getting out there asap.

Well, I just called the track and you are correct, their first Test & Tune is not until 1/16....thank you for the heads up.

I guess I am flying into Dallas on Thursday and hoping in my hauler and heading to Vegas and then onto California.

Also....my car is likely to run sub 11.50's once I get the Kleemann ECU this week......as per NHRA rules you have to have a roll cage at anything below 11.50. If I make one pass and run 11.4x, am I banned from running anymore?? That's an expensive run at $350......

 

I doubt I'll be able to make it. My car is in the shop, but I'm holding out hope.
