License Plate on E46 3-series "AMG HAHA"
So, I was driving south on the 805 in San Diego around 3pm this afternoon when I see a license plate on a e46 3 series that reads "AMG HA HA".
WHAT? Seriously? He is driving a basic 3-series with the only mods that I see is a CSL trunk and bumper. I rode his *** a little but there was traffic and it would have been a huge waste to get in trouble for something like what he was driving. I gave him the old right to left waving of my index finger and I got off onto the 8.
Come on now. I like bimmers but maybe a M3, M6 or M5 E46 M3 with a supercharger but that is about the only BMW's that may be able to have that plate.

I have a great story with a somewhat similar setting. I was with a friend of mine in my former '03 E55 and we had just pulled into a parking lot at a restaurant looking to grab a bite to eat. As I'm heading towards the back of the lot, I'm going down an aisle and see two guys getting into this E46 M3 - as I got closer, I saw their plates - "AMG KILR" - I stopped the car immediately and sat looking at the guy getting in the driver's with this expression "You're kidding right?" He looked back at me after I stopped, and started laughing - and without me even saying a word, he says: "No, no no, we don't mean you, we mean the C-Class AMG guys"
I kind of rolled my eyes and continued on my way. Never saw the car again.

Again, I don't disagree that some M series cars may be deserving of the plate, of course taht is depending on what AMG they are refering too.
The BMW that I had seen on the freeway was no better than an Eagle Talon Turbo.
Get my drift?

There's a guy around here in the West Palm Beach area that goes to my gym and he has an m5 with the plate: AMG ETR
He had the standard boltons with a tune and nitrous. It's pretty quick to say the least.

I have owned an e46 M3 and a C55 and I know the C55 is faster and my E55 is by far faster. E92 M3 and E60 M5 I have driven and they feel fast but I have never had the chance to race either against my car.
I will get a ZR1 and the plate will say YTRYNE1

My friend at work just told me of a BMW (he wasn't sure which one M3,5 or 6) with a personalized tag "Amg this"
Pretty funny the war going on between the two automakers.

The funny thing is that M cars have never made anything that has the power that AMG cars have ex 65 and BS series cars.
The M3 took 20 years to become an 8? The M5 13 years? MB has been making 6.3 power house engines since the early 70's
Anyone that has more knowledge with my above statement correct me if I am wrong.

I would argue with this too. Honestly, each has their strengths and weaknesses, and it is a fact that the M cars are better handling then the AMG cars (although they are getting better) and BMWs are just as, if not more reliable than Mercs. Just a few facts, thats all. Both are great, I don't think either needs to be considered "inferior".
