It isn't a technical thread, but is relevent to this room in general. I just saw jcart's post where he is responding to a strong personal attack and he did not throw out a single personal retaliation. He also mentioned that both sides were trying to let the banter go. Regardless of how we feel about eachother, I have nothing but respect for that. Jim, you could easily have jumped on that post and defended yourself but you let it go and I promise many here have much more respect for that than anything you could have said. Well done. I'm sure you will soon be having fun and talking smack about our cars and the fun we have with them...

I've noticed Jim being fairly quiet since yesterday as well and that had as much to do with this. we just aren't helping the members or ourselves. I have no alterior motives here and Andy is an honest to goodness paying sponsor, so his intentions are clear as well. Why fight? Once things settle down, I am sure we can all have the real substantive discussions (even heated) about the mods and cars. We can even have healthy rivalries and all, but the hate (that VIC has always taught me is nothing more than internet words) is useless.
As I said the data will come out on every tuner's work. It just does. I am not saying that Andy needs to worry. I am saying that maybe I don't need to be so diligent as the MBWorld Consumer Guide? I am as much to blame as anyone for taking this personal.

Anyhow, again, I am glad to see the change coming about.

My statement is not isolated to Jim- it goes for all that have egged each other on and know right before they hit the post button that what will be posted is going to cause someone to get upset.

We all know to think before we say, why not do the same before we post?

Dude does it really matter how change comes about? Your words are irrelevent, right or wrong. They are simply too late to be relevent. I'm not asking for a love fest with Jim or anyone. Just that we STOP derailing threads with a specific purpose. STart your new thread and call Jcart out. That way, we can all go off until VIC shuts it down. The issue here has been that we are not giving a paying sponsor an opportunity to show their stuff and yet we continue to want to see it or we scare members from even posting in the first place and neither is good. You can stay in here and continue this until we get shut down, since I had no other purpose for this.

Kumbaya maybe not quite a circle jerk...It is a nice change but eventually drama will rear its head. It's just the way it is when we have two guys who love cars and getting the most out of them...passion is always good...it's just how we express it that makes it constructive or not.
